When I play, I turn off Lock-On hitting completely, but leave it at normal difficulty and normal pitch speeds. Only problem is it's pretty hard to hit home runs, but that just makes it all the more fun when you do.

I got a problem. If you haven't noticed, the games I've been playing go like this. The number is the spot where the pitcher starts. 1,4,2,5,3,6. But, if I go 1-4 now, I play 2 games of the Charlotte series, and then I go to 2 starter, which means I would miss the Athletics series after this. HELP!!

Does it really matter if you miss one series? I don't find there to be any difference.

Yeah, but then it's 3 straight games against the Flyers. Oh well, I'll do that.

Alright. Do you guess think I should be less descriptive on how runs score, or keep it up the way it is?

You can keep it the way it is, but try shortening it just a little.

Honolulu Sluggers (15-7) @ Charlotte Flyers (5-17)

4-24-08-The Sluggers finished off the sweep of the Flyers today, winning off of a gem by Ryan Techer. Gonzalez hit a sac fly in the 3rd to give the Sluggers a 1-0 lead. Greene smacked a 2 RBI double in the 5th to make it 3-0, and Gordon put up the last run on a solo homer to right center to make it 4-0. Techer had a no hitter through 4, but was broken up with 2 outs. Our next game will be home against Charlotte, on the 28th. Jason Young is scheduled to start.

Charlotte Flyers (6-20) @ Honolulu Sluggers (18-8)

4-28-08-The Sluggers won on a walk off homer in extras. Only 1 run was scored all game. Jason Young pitched 9 innings of scoreless ball, but was given a no decision. The only run of the game came in the bottom of the 11th, on a walk off solo home run by Pablo Gonzalez. He pulled a low curveball, and hooked one around the right field pole to give the Sluggers a 1-0 win. The Sluggers are undefeated against the Flyers. Our next game is on the 1st of May, the last game the Sluggers will play against the Flyers for the rest of the season.

April In Review
The Sluggers got off to a great start in their inaugural season, going 20-8, and are tied for first in the AL West with the Angels. Their record has probably been helped by playing 7 games against the Flyers, and winning all 7. As for stats, Jason Young is in 2nd place for ERA in the MLB, with a 1.72 earned run average. Garrett Backe is in 3rd for batting average, going .406. Alex Gordon leads the team in Home Runs, with 7, and RBIs, with 28. Pablo Gonzalez earned Player of the Month honors. The Sluggers have only 1 divisional series in May, versus the Athletics. Let's hope to have a great May too!

Charlotte Flyers (6-23) @ Honolulu Sluggers (21-8)

5-1-08-The Sluggers finished off the season sweep of their rival expansion team, the Flyers, yesterday. It was a high scoring game, and the Sluggers won in comeback fashion. The Flyers got up early, scoring on a solo homer by Duran, and a 2 run shot by Aceves in the 2nd. Alex Gordon got a run back though in the 3rd, with a solo homer of his own, to make the score 3-1. In the 4th, the Flyers scored 5 runs, on an error by Stewart, a 2 RBI double by Neu, an RBI single by Morban, and an RBI double by Pickler to put the Sluggers down 8-1. The Sluggers got some runs back in the 6th, on back to back solo home runs by Withey and Anderson to make it 8-3. The Sluggers put together their big comeback in the 7th, scoring on a Preston Greene 2 run homer, a Jay Stewart RBI single, an Andrew Jones RBI double, and an Alex Gordon 2 RBI single to put the Sluggers ahead 9-8. Those would be the last runs scored, and the Sluggers squeaked by with a win. Our next game is on the 6th, with Thornton scheduled to start.

Oakland Athletics (13-20) @ Honolulu Sluggers (24-9)

5-6-08-The Sluggers beat the Athletics today, in another high scoring game. The Athletics scored 1 run in the 1st, on an Eric Chavez RBI single. In the 2nd, Jack Allen hit his first home run of the year, a 3 run job to right center to give the Sluggers the lead, 3-1. The Sluggers scored 5 more in the 3rd, on a Gonzalez RBI double, a Greene 2 RBI double, an Anderson RBI single, and a sac fly by Backe to make it 8-1. The A's got a run back in the 4th, on a sac fly by Mike Sweeney. But, the Sluggers scored 4 runs in the 5th, on a Jay Stewart 2 RBI double, a Jones sac fly, and a Greene RBI single to make it 12-2. The Athletics tried to mount a comeback, but it was a case of too little too late. They scored in the 6th on a solo homer from Chavez, in the 7th on an RBI single by Chavez, and in the 8th one last time on a Travis Buck 2 RBI single to put up the final score of 12-6. Our next game is on the 9th vs. Clevland, with Pena scheduled to start.

I just upped the difficulty of pitching and fielding to All-Star. Base running and Batting is still at Expert. Those last 2 games really left me with no choice. That and the 24-9 record.

I bumped up everything to All-Star now, becoming effective on the 10th against the Indians. I just don't think a team full of rookies is gonna go 27-10.(our current record) Any tips on how to be more realistic?

Cleveland Indians (21-15) @ Honolulu Sluggers (26-10)

5-9-08-The Sluggers won a low scoring game against the Indians today. The action was slow to get started, but Pablo Gonzalez hit a solo homer in the 4th to put the Sluggers up 1-0. But they had the lead for a short time, as the Indians got 2 runs in the 5th on a Dellucci RBI double, and a Jamie Carroll RBI groundout. But, the Sluggers scored 2 more in the 6th on a 2 RBI double by Anderson to make it 3-2. Nobody else scored, and Johnny Washington was brought in for the save. Julio Pena stayed without a loss, and the Sluggers handed Indians ace C.C. Sabathia his first loss. Our next game is tomorrow, against the Indians, with Murphy scheduled to start.
