July in Review

The Royals had another good month in July with a similar record to the other months this season. They went 17-8 in the month and of course still have the best overall record now at 75-32. The Royals' offense continues to do well, being led by Nick Johnson's big bat. Johnson now has a batting average of .322 with 25 homers and tied for the major league lead in RBI with 106, tied with David Wright of the Mets. Mark Teahen is also hitting well, with a near .300 average, 14 home runs, and 76 driven in. The Royals are also doing a lot of running. David DeJesus leads the majors in stolen bases with 42, and teammate Mark Teahen is in second with 33. Felipe Lopez is also near the top of the list at 22. As far as pitching, the Royals now have four starters with more than 10 wins. Gil Meche and Kyle Davies both have 12, and Kelvim Escobar and Ricky Dinas both have 11. Joakim Soria is also the first pitcher in the majors to 30 saves this season. The American League lost a great All-Star game this year, so if the Royals make it again to the World Series, they will not have home field advantage.

They are one of the most annyoing teams to play in the game, along with the Brewers, because they have SO MUCH POWER. You can't go through the lineup once without giving up a run it seems.

YES! The Brewers are just as bad as the White Sox, if not worse. They have ridiculous power 1 through 7 in Hardy, Weeks, Braun, Fielder, Cameron, Hart, and Hall. I played the Brewers in the NLCS in my Rockies season mode, and it was the most annoying and stressful series I ever played in this game. It was also the most epic because it went 7 games and I won on a walk-off home run by Garret Atkins. 8)
