Oh my God...

What just happened to me just made my head turn 360 degrees.

So, I recieved my late birthday present, which was Mario & Luigi Bowser's Inside Story (M&L: BIS), today. I can't remember where it came from, since my mom bought it off of eBay (I wish she would stop doing that, buying from somewhere else in the gosh darned universe instead of locally...).

So, I read the instruction booklet for the game, which by far was the worst one I've ever seen in my life, which was practically a REVIEW of the whole entire game, only 1 sentence devoted to what buttons you were gonna use, and it sounded like it was written only 2 years ago, and the game was released IN 2004!!! (Case in point: "We had a chance to play this game at the 2009 Electronic Entertainment Expo and had a great time with it.")

EDIT: I just recently looked at Wikipedia, and it said that it was released in 2009, but still, the box said something about 2004 next to the copyright symbol...

So, I go put this game into my DSi system, and started the game...only problem was, it gave me a screen, saying that an error has occured, so I was thinking, "Great, now because my DSi has been out in my parent's car for God knows how many days, it doesn't work anymore."

Then, I decided to put in some of my other games into the DSi: Madden 08 and New Super Mario Bros. And guess what? They worked! Perfectly! I put back in M&L: BIS, and it still didn't work. I go to show my parents the issue, and after a long discussion, they weren't gonna pay for it, but that's another long story that I won't get to.

So, that brings me to about, oh, 10-20 minutes before this is posted, and I said to myself, "Just for grins and giggles, let's try playing it in my old, crappy DS. As you guys may know by know, my old DS has a hinge broken and the top screen is frozen, so it's only good for GBA games.

I go to put it in, and after about 7 seconds, it actually worked, and I was saying, "You've gotta be kidding me," because I know I'm NEVER going to be able to play that game without a working top screen on the old, crappy DS.

Just...freakin'...crazy...

Well, my copy of the game has the copyright in 2009, and the manual is one of the most detailed I've ever seen...That's really weird...I have no idea.

Where'd you see the copyright in 2009? Near the bottom of the back of the case?

The game isn't even that bad though, it's actually quite addicting. Sadly you REALLY need that top screen in order to play.

How many times did you try to get it to work in the DSi? Maybe you need to blow the dust off either the system or the game...

I tried 3 or 4 times, and, yes, I tried blowing off dust off the system and game, in the cartridge slot, and still nothing.

I'm threatening making a video about it, but IDK if my voice is back up to par yet.

You probably have a faulty copy of the game. You got it off of eBay, not always the most reliable place to get things from.

And mine too says copyright 2009.

Some of you may know I'm doing a Star Wars:Battlefront II Playthrough on YouTube.

I felt I'd update my status as far as YouTube goes, my next playthrough will be Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, for PS2. I was considering that or Spyro 2, and while Spyro 2 is funner to play sometimes, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is hilarious, most of the time. I'm choosing this for the viewers (or viewer, if I'm the only one).

What do you use to record your videos? They are of very high quality, and I was just wondering.

It only showed up in my area recently, I was about getting ready to order one online when I searched again and it was there.

If you combine this with the price of the headset and the splitters I needed, it costed me about $100, also, I'm going to buy RCA cables for it so I don't have to take the ones from my DVD player (wouldn't be a problem if they plugged into the front of my TV, but I don't want to rearrange my room whenever I need them).

In any case, I feel the cost is worth it, because it's something I find fun to do, even if I don't get any viewers or anything, it adds replay value to games I don't usually play much, and it can use up even more free time if you choose to do the commentary after recording the gameplay, which I find easier, also necessary if you want to record commentary with someone else over the internet, which I haven't really got to do yet.

I pretty much just spent all my birthday and Christmas money on this stuff.

The work sucks but I get out of school at 10:40 from Tue-Thu, 9:00 Friday and don't have to go to school until 2 hours later on Thursday
