July in Review

The Royals had another great month in July as they are pulling away in the lead for the division. In the month of July, they went 16-9, their best monthly win-loss record so far. Just like last month, they scored 97 runs in the month, but their runs allowed went up a bit. They are now 64-43 for the season, eight games up on the Indians in second place, and stand alone with the best record in the majors, a game up on the Phillies. Nick Johnson continues to be hot with the bat, batting close to .300 with 18 homers and 71 RBI, well on pace for 100+ for the season. In pitching, the Royals ERAs did go up this month as every ERA for the rotation is over 2, which is still great. The National League won the All-Star Game once again, which means if the Royals can make it to the World Series consecutive years, they will once again have to start on the road. The Royals are inching closer to the postseason again as the final results of the season are beginning to come into view and clear.

Ok, that's it for now. I played two months in this. I'm now going to play a month of games in my Cubs dynasty in MVP Baseball 2005, then a month of games in my Rockies season mode file, and then come back to this one.

Meche wants to know why he's 7-7, and wants to rectify the problem ASAP.

Well, my team doesn't score many runs, and I tend to make a lot of late-inning comebacks, so my starting rotation has a lot of no decisions.
