Nagoya Dome, Nagoya, Chubu – The Tigers finally win! They are (hopefully) coming out of their rut that they were in. Today’s pitching was good, the offence was good, and a reminiscent moment of last year happened. Sakurai basically won today’s game. We spoke to him, he said “Being a pinch-hitter is something that comes in time; I guess that I’ve just got ‘it’.”

Also, awards for the month of June were announced today! Tani won batter of the month in June, batting .309, hitting 11 homeruns, and 20 RBI. We talked to him about his winning, he stated “I’m very happy that I won this month, and hope that I can continue to help the team.”

This is something that we haven’t seen in a while. A long while. The Tigers took that lead in the 1st, thanks to Toritani’s RBI double. And they never looked back from there. Congratulations Tigers. I’m this excited, because the Tigers have been struggling as of late, and it looks like they’ll come out of this soon!
