40 minutes? That's nothing. Try ONE HOUR in the stupid crouching position. Not fun. And boy, this is one heck of a storm, I hope we don't have homework because of this.

I don't live in a tornado-place so I've never had that experience...

Neither do I, but we get a big storm ocassionaly and have to go to crouch mode. And as always the yearly drill.

I had TWO lockdowns when I was in 6th grade, one I was absent for, and the second was 3 hours, but in the last hour we just played games, and a volleyball-ish game with fuzzy dice :D

Decided to take part in NaNoWriMo (Nat'l Novel Writing Month). Goal is to write a 50,000 word story by the end of November, no prior planning.

Should be fun and/or heartbreaking :P
