Pardon Me - Incubus (love the vid) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXzuDXZwZtI&ob=av2e (listen to the lyrics and video will make more sense)

Basically everything on Incubus's greatest hits album is fantastic... though my favorites are Megalomaniac and Talk Shows on Mute.

And Cage's whole debut album is fantastic. Ain't No Rest For The Wicked, In One Ear and Back Against The Wall are obviously great, but I'd also suggest Lotus, James Brown, Judas and Tiny Little Robots.

Belle and Sebastian's new album is really different than the others. It's more synthy and poppy than usual, but that's not really a bad thing. I still prefer their album "If you're feeling Sinister" because it's the best album ever.

Baroque pop = really really really good when it's well done.

Baroque pop is like Vampire Weekend, right?

For all of you clueless people who have no idea who they are:

A-Punk - Vampire Weekend http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XC2mqcMMGQ
Giving Up the Gun - Vampire Weekend http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bccKotFwzoY
Oxford Comma - Vampire Weekend http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_i1xk07o4g
Cousins - Vampire Weekend http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1e0u11rgd9Q

Vampire Weekend is amazing... but definitely not baroque pop.
The most common example of baroque pop/rock in music is Arcade Fire, but I have two other examples:

Final Fantasy (the former stage name of Owen Pallett) - This Is the Dream Of Win and Regine:

Fleet Foxes - Mynokos:

Weird Al is amazing, that's one of my favorite songs by him.

Trapped in a Closet (the whole thing) was hilarious!
If you have an hohur or so laying around, watch all 22 parts on YouTube or something, I found it funny, disturbing, and interesting.

I had never heard of any of these bands you guys talk about......

Anyway, here are a few of my more, well-known shall we say bands I like (I know, I'm so original).

Aerosmith (Who else? )
AC/DC
OneRepublic
Green Day
Bruno Mars
Far East Movement  (Like a G6)

I'll post more later, I'm just too tired now  .

They played that at homecoming last Friday. I hated all the songs they played.
