Sunday Morning Tryouts over
8:36 am

Grey walked into the facility and looked over his notes to make sure all the roster editing he and the other coaches did late last night was accurate. All the other coaches, trainers, workers, and Mr Pilfery were in the meeting room.

Grey: Hey everyone
Pilfery: Hello Mr Grey. Has the final roster been decided
Grant: Yep we finished it up last night.
Pilfery:Good, good the players will arrive at 10 correct? I'll have the team room ready by then.
Grey:Thank you.

Pilfery exited as well as most the workers.

Jim: So Grey any late night changes?
Grey: No not really there weren't a ton of bubble players, we cut most of them within the first cut.
Ted:Captains?
Grey:Yeah I have two, one pitcher one hitter, I'll wait for the players to unveil it.
Willy:Dramatic as always, eh? Boss

10:04 am
The 30 some odd players gathered in circle around the coaches who were on the stage.

Grey:Hello everyone, I would like to thank you all for trying out. I will now announce the starting line-up, batting order, pitching rotation, bullpen, and then bench players. I only need 16 players for this team. I would like you all to know your are great ballplayers, but making this team isn't just about era and Batting AVG. It's about heart, determination and most important a will to prove yourself. With the roster I have picked I think that we have the best team possible, and we will compete for the trophy this year. We have a couple months before the season, so go back to school for the last few weeks, train and prepare yourself. My practices aren't for the faint of heart, succeed and you will be successful. If you fail, get back up if you don't then your a failure...

Grey: I would like to ask the team members to join the coaching staff in the team room in 20 minutes. To those of you who didn't make it, as I have said before You have the talent but you don't have the intangibles. You are still young, healt and not injured. You have time train and live well follow your heart's desire. I whole heartily thank you for tying out.

Vern Gong: Hey you don;t even have a full roster, what the ef are you doing I got a hit in the game I deserve to be on this Team.

Grey stared cold at him and the workers hustled everyone out of the Auditorium.

In the team room....

All the lockers had names on them and the players were admiring the hi-tech locker room. The coaches walked in.

Grey: Congratulations, Oregon Apples. You are all part of this team and I expect you to be considerate of yourself, teammates, and everyone else. I want us to fly under the radar this year. Well at least until game day, but being the underdog helps and that's exactly what we are. I hope you will all work together with the coaches and captains. For those of you not o n the starting roster you will have time to get on it, this not the final line-up or roster. Work hard and your in(twss). On a final note here are the captains
Hitter: T-val
Pitcher: Ryan Techer.

Cheers arose from most of the players.

Grey: Thank you for coming I hope to see you all in 2 weeks. Your dismissed. Have a good week of finals.
