sigh I kept thinking the Red Sox could make a run and now they have to do it without Youkilis  Just when they were getting healthy

now they have to play a 4-game series with the Yankees which will pretty much decide their season

they're 6 GB them and 5.5 behind the Rays. So if they can take 3 of 4 they gain 2 games which I'll accept. but a sweep and the Red Sox are RIGHT back in it at 2 games behind

a lot easier said than done.. but I'm faithful. and oh yeah if the Red Sox get swept then their season is done the drain quickly

Now you know how we felt in 2008. Isn't it so…tremendously awful? "We couldn't beat the Yankees, but at least we'll win the WildCard…hey, what are the Rays doing there?"

Alright, have you ever heard of karma? You did this to us in 2008, so you deserve this. Now go wallow in your big wall…what do they call that? The Green Monster? Haha, like it actually helps the Red Sox. :P

Are umpires making important mistakes more often this year?

I've only watched about a few games all the way through, but on several home games I've seen the Umpire clearly blow a call that would have lead to a walk-off win, the other team seems to invariably win those games.

Also, that one with the near perfect game, but that didn't really cost a team the win.

:| But what about the other game a couple of weeks ago?...I don't remember it, but I know the officiating sucked. I'm not sure, but Girardi might've gotten thrown out of that game.

nice start for the series for the Sox! 6-3 win. Kalish hit his first big league home run and Ortiz went deep. AND the Rays lost so the Red Sox got a little closer

I have hope for them, but it'll be a tough series

I gotta say, Kalish looks pretty good. I think you might want to remember this name in the future. I don't know why, though...

he had like brain surgery last year but I've been hearing Kalish as a future star, even before he came up for the last few months.

he HAS to be our future outfielder

I have a good eye for talent, and something tells me this isn't the last time we'll hear Kalish's name.

Morrow finished with one hit and SEVENTEEN strikeouts. :o I don't know about you, but I think seventeen strikeouts makes up for that one hit. :P
