Yup, I just try and hit everyone. At least all the lefties, then the righties I just walk. When it's 6-0 with the bases loaded, you can try and let the cpu hit a grandslam, although it usually only works if you throw a mistake pitch down the middle.

I also believe you can discard the rookie charm, and then be able to play the field(I remember doing it a while back, but now I always forget to). This makes it much easier, because then you can purposely miss the ball in the field and let guys score. It's especially helpful when it's 6-0, bases loaded, then you can let the cpu put the ball in play and just run away from the ball and let them score. Or if you get the ball in the outfield, just run towards the wall, and the cpu should start advancing.

Improved to 5-0 record with a 9-2 blowout, the pitching line was something like this.

Golden Apples scrub pitcher: 8 IP, 2 runs allowed.
Golden Apples first baseman: 1 IP, no runs allowed.

Sittch: 5.1 IP, 7 runs allowed.
Galaxy Sharks generic pitcher: 3.2 IP, 2 runs allowed.

Well, I just completed a success player for the first time in a month or 2, and I tried this strategy again. Well, the Sharks scored 5 runs off me and I was down 5-1 in the 9th inning. BUT I WON!!!

I thought it was completely hopeless, but a pinch hitter for the pitcher, Marvin and some scrub with D contact all singled, then my player got a singled one of them in, Terry hit a 3-run triple, and the next batter drove him in. Holy crap that was awesome.
