Blanks is happy to be in second in home runs for the team. (I'm just assuming)

yep. I think the next closest is 10 home runs. This offense is sure a lot better than the real Padres offense :P

Twenty-five homers for Gonzalez before the All-Star break is just ridiculous.

he had like 6 in April and had 2 unbelievable months. But 25 home runs is insane, I haven't hit many home runs lately with him though, a lot of singles up the middle which is always a sure thing

Padres Power! San Diego sweeps Arizona

July 6 -- The Padres have shocked the Diamondbacks as they go into Arizona and sweep them in 3 games to put the Padres at a 1st place tie in the NL West. Chris Young was able to shut out an offense that has hit the 3rd most home runs in the majors and 2nd in the NL by going 6 shutout innings, this was great considering he allowed 4 home runs last start. The Padres only need an RBI single by Hundley in the 3rd and a 2-run single by Everth Cabrera in the 5th as their only scoring as it put them up 3-0. But the D-backs came back in the 7th with a 2-run shot by Chris Young(the hitter) to make it a 1-run game and it was only the 3rd hit of the game for Arizona. In the 9th, Bell had a tough task in facing Upton, Reynolds and LaRoche in order but he got Upton and Reynolds to strike out, he walked LaRoche and got the pinch hitter Chris Snyder to ground out to complete an impression sweep.

Yeah, I just avoid big swing when my players are hitting too many home runs. Unfortunately, that's not lowering Matt Holliday's stats in my Rockies season mode. He had too many home runs, but now he's leading the majors in doubles and has a batting average almost at .400.

turn the difficulty up then  I've had trouble with finding a good difficulty. I've gotten worse over the years at hitting so now I'm trying Lock-on 1 with Expert pitching since Lock-On 2 with Powerful pitching made it way too easy to hit homeruns

But the Diamondbacks are so tough to face. They have so many home run hitters, Drew, Young, Reynolds, Upton, LaRoche, Jackson, Kelly Johnson, etc. I simulated most of this game but the last game I played they hit me pretty hard(but I still won of course :D )

The only way I can make the game harder is changing the pitch speed level to fast, but that makes it impossible to even make contact. Well, maybe not for my Rockies, but it would definitely make it impossible for my Royals.

I gotta ask, what's so crazy about Gonzalez having 25 bombs at the all star break?

Pujols had 32 in 09(obviously, that is Pujols though), 3 others(including Adrian) had 24 at the break in 09 also.

08, 3 had 25 or more.

07, 4 had 24 or more.

I mean, sure for 2010 the homers are down(at least individually), but I don't think it's all that crazy(heck, it's one more than Bautista had pre all star break).

True I guess it's not actually that crazy. Gonzalez is definately one of the best home run hitters in the majors. It's not quite the all star break yet in this game, 25 is considered a lot at this point and like you said, in 09 he had 24 at this point and a few games ago it looked like he would have 28 or 29 which would be a few over the career high for him if this was real life

But I do get what you're saying

wacky all-star game voting in this game for sure. Pujols was somehow only hitting .296 with 19 home runs and when I edited Sandoval into a player I made him also a catcher(which I did awhile ago so yeah), so they think of Sandoval as a reserve catcher as well
