I know. I thought he would win for sure after that first round, but I didn't think about the fact that he, and his seventy-one year old pitcher, might be tired.

He probably could have beaten Abreu's record if he tried.

Yeah, other than the NL losing, it was a great game! 15 heart pounding innings. I say the play of the game would be when Nate McLouth threw out Dioner Navarro at home plate in the 11th inning. That was a great throw by McLouth and Russell Martin couldn't have fielded it on the hop more perfectly. I think I stopped breathing there for a couple seconds until the umpire called Navarro out.

Other than the Nl losing again, that was an awesome game to watch. Many new records were set. Even a new low. (I feel a little bad for Uggla.)

The game had everything that makes the game great. Great pitching, great defense (except Uggla), A couple home runs, a mess of plays at the plate. And a play at the plate to end it. Good times.

I normally don't watch the All Star game. Watched more of it last year because Alex Rios was in but this year we only had Doc and flipping back-an-forth I missed when he pitched.

Thank you for noticing Mclouth. I think he played well. The announcer said Martin made the play, though. No he didn't! Go Nate the Great!

You gotta give them both credit on that play. Nate made a strong and pretty accurate throw. Hussell Russell made a great dig on a tough hop and block. Kudos all around

Not an easy task... I can throw accurately from the outfield... if it makes a bigggg looping arc and takes twice as long to get there...

I can throw a baseball very far, accurate and low. I threw it 3/4th's of the way on a soccer field(we used that so I could judge how far I could throw it).

When I try to throw a ball hard now my arm goes numb from the shoulder to the tips of my fingers and hurts about as bad as a kidney stone.

I can get it from first to home plate ok if I throw side arm. That's about all my arm has left in it.

Ouch, that sucks. I'm glad I can still throw without a lot of pain, but my elbow and shoulder are getting very bad so if I would keep playing it would probably lead to something like that, which is why I can't play anymore.

The Cubs are going all the way this season. This is the MLB thread, so I thought this was the perfect thread to blurt that out.
