When you trade Nomo, I get Ben Sheets  .

Also, thank you from listening to my clients requests. They very much appricate it. Fielder hopes he didn't rub off the wrong way with Jesse Crain though.

Where Are They Now?

Boof Bonser is doing even worse than he did in Minnesota.

Jose Bautista and Jason Kubel are in the minors.

Mike Redmond, Tomas Perez and Nick Punto are, unsurprisingly, not doing great.

Justin Morneau is slumping.

In other words, we have done a little TOO well with trading.

AWESOME!

Crain told me that there was no harm done.

Since Nomo is in the minors and about to be dealt, I'll make a special exception so you can have Sheets now. I think that's fair.

Sheets and Fielder are pleased with their results and are happy to represent the Dynasty from the North in Yankee Statium (it is 2008 right?).

Twins Deal For Schumaker, Rookie

MINNESOTA—Hideo Nomo has been traded to the St. Louis Cardinals for Skip Schumaker, rookie pitcher (I gave this draft pick a first name) Charley Robbins, and cash. Schumaker will be sent to MLB in exchange for Denard Span. Here is Robbins' stats:

87 MPH
Ctrl: D
Stam: C
Right: Level 3 slider
Down-Right: Level 3 curve
Down: Level 1 forkball

I think we should work on top speed.

They both deserve it for their efforts. Yes, this will be played in the House that Ruth Built.

As some logs in the past have done, I'm going to do a Home Run Derby. It will include these players:

Alex Rodriguez (23 HR)
David Ortiz (21 HR)
Prince Fielder (24 HR)
B.J. Upton (23 HR)
Carlos Delado (29 HR)
Derek Lee (28 HR)
Adam Dunn (24 HR)
Matt Holliday (20 HR)

I'll play this just like the real thing.

Grading The Twins: First Semester Report Card

The unofficial halfway point of the season is upon us, and it's time to grade the Twins on their performance so far:

Hitting: B-

Great at producing runs, but not enough clutch hits to bump it up to an A.

Pitching: D+

Ben Sheets has been a glint of hope in the pitiful pitching thus far. Lincecum is also solid.

Managing: C

Boof Bonser hit a home run in an American League game. Odd enough for ya?

Trading: A+

Deals for Doumit, Lincecum, Cain, Sheets, Fielder, Braun... it goes on.

OVERALL: C+

The Twins have some work to do if they want to climb out of the 5-game hole that they've worked themselves into.
