Posting:

* Individual players should be in their own thread, with the full name of the player and position(s) in the title. Don't add superlatives or any other shout outs to it... we will see your guys...
* If you post a team or a set of players, add players by editing your starting post so they're all in the same post. A bump to announce the edit is appropriate.
* Posting images are fine, provided they are small in dimension and data. 800x600 and ~50Kb should be the biggest you can post inline (using the [IMG] tag), anything larger, post a link or a clickable thumbnail instead.
* If you have wiki rights, add your player(s) and team(s) there as well!

Lately there has been a huge increase in created players uploaded to this site. However, nobody ever responds in those threads. I was wondering, does anyone actually care about them? Does anyone actually upload the players into their games? Or is it just a waste of time for people to upload player passwords? Answer honestly.

I don't know, but I don't really care if people want to download my creations or not. Right now, I'm just trying to make enough players for a team, but I might as well put them on the forum and Wiki. Personally, I do download other people's creations.

If they are actual players that debuted in 2008 or later, and aren't in the game, I import them, and add them to the wiki.

If they're created players, if they are realistic and not over-powered, I will import them sometimes if needed.

If they're an all-As player, or a guy with 5 lvl4 pitches, or a ton of blue abilities, or anyone that will come into the game and dominate etc - I have zero interest.

But, to each their own.

I used to upload players to my system. Putting in the passwords for about three players can eat up 30 minutes easily. When my system data crashed, I decided it wasn't worth it for a while. I don't have any intrest in updating rosters, I like using 08' rosters to give me a laugh when I go "Wow, he was once on THAT team!". Realistic players I might upload to make a sub team to rival my current one I'm making. If I had a PP 08' for Wii for example, I would upload Alloutwar's entire Chargers team to rival the team I create. Maxed players I most likely would upload, just to have some fun every once in a while  .

I might go back to uploading passwords soon, just cause its summer. But my main focus is my seasons and my arrange team.

if people are sick of my players or would rather particular ones then just request them. I also wish there were more PS2 users on here as well.

Created players are like little works of art. Whether people deploy them in their own leagues or even post a comment is secondary to the satisfaction of creation IMO. I stopped downloading the current-day players once I finished my retro league, but I look at almost all of the created players, real or fictional, PS2 or Wii. Keep 'em coming.

To be honest, I don't use other people's players that often. Because I know the game so well, I just prefer making my own players. However, most of my own success mode players are completely maxed out players that not even I would use in a game. Once I finish the season I'm in in my Rockies season mode, I'm going to work on making a complete team of my own success mode players with realistic abilities, and share them on here.

I used to download a couple guys (one request and two really good but not maxed guys), but other than that, I've only downloaded DNK's guys for our arrange team back when we were working on it.

As for posting them, I just do it for two reasons:
1. So people know I still play the game
2. Almost as a formality, when I complete a player just to put him up. Also, makes it easy to compare players, either of my own or compared to someone else's.

Eh I used to download other peoples players, but putting in the password just took too long for me. I usually just make my own

I agree. I'm just too lazy to input that long password.

yeah... i rarely use the imported players, unless there's a reason. i can exchange players with redsoxman without a password since i know him, and that's all i really need. i dont really feel like importing a bunch of players if konami's about to make a new game.

i agree with the analogy of art. Everyone has their own opinion. who else likes this jackson pollock?
