Small defensive mistakes almost end win streak for PowerPros:

In the 5th inning, PowerPros future all-star first baseman, Tim Inidator, made a crucial error giving the Rockies a 1-0 lead, PowerPros answered with 2 runs in the bottom half, and lead entered the 9th with a 3-1 lead, bringing in Fikac to close it out. With 2 outs, a simple fly ball to right center field was trouble as both outfielders backed out at the same time, allowing the ball to drop, the run would score but Fikac would secure the save in a 3-2 victory over the Rockies, Kaito took the win and Morales took the loss, changing their records to 3-0 and 0-3, respectively. Robert missed his second game in a row, it is unknown when he will be back. PowerPros manager Mr.Johnson had this to say about the teams 8 game win streak “It’s great, we’ve had a rocky past couple games but in the end we’ve pulled through. It’s like we’re a superhero that’s barely mortal, like if you couldn’t kill him with a gun, but could with some kind of super nuke.” He walked away at the end of that comment, leaving the reporter with a confused look on his face.

Sudden home run outburst leads Astros to 6-3 win over PowerPros, snaps 8 game win streak:

All PowerPros fans in Rainbow Beach Stadium went home shocked to see the PowerPros actually lose a game. The PowerPros were ahead 3-1 for most of the game, but in the 7th, 8th, and 9th innings, 3 Astros home runs, 2 by Pence, 1 by Wigginton, scored 5 runs to give the Astros the win, Moehler in particular got the credit for it, Valverde had the save, Whiteman took the loss. Tim Inidator was interviewed, and couldn’t seem to get off the subject of the home plate umpire. “It was ridiculous, to think an umpire could be so against us in a home game, he called strikes up at my eyes, I had to start chasing everything, no wonder we couldn’t score any runs. In the mean time, none of our pitchers could buy a strike, they had to throw in right there, I’m not surprised the Astros were able to hit some home runs. Usually the way you want to end a winning streak – Well, you don’t really ever want to end a winning streak, but it’s inevitable – you want it to be a real close game, played fair, good pitching, good hitting, and the better team wins, and that just did not happen today.” Meanwhile, McConnell seems to be doing a good job replacing Robert at second base during his break, hitting .455 over the last few games. Mr.Johnson was interviewed about whether Robert would be coming back. “Well, that’s definitely the biggest decision I’ve had to make so far, we definitely miss his glove over there at second base, and if he comes back, that’s why, I’m thinking in a few games I might start using him as a defensive replacement late in games, to see how that works out. But the teams lineup is more dangerous throughout, without him, maybe when McConnell starts to slump, I’ll check out if Robert has stopped.”

I've had this next update for about a week but I just realized I didn't post it:

Portland loses pitcher’s duel 2-1:
The Astros scored 2 runs off of Roberto Vicente in the first inning, the PowerPros scored a run in the second inning. For the next seven innings, nothing changed, as Vicente picked up the complete game loss. In the 9th the PowerPros were able to get the winning run to first base on an infield hit before Ryan Evert popped out with 2 out to end the game.

If anybody is interested, since my summer break has almost started I could resume this log.

I could also do agents too, but I'd prefer not seeing too many posts that are just "(Player) is happy with his performance." and nothing else, it'd be all right if you gave their opinion on trades or their spot in the rotation/lineup, or maybe their playing time. Just try to keep the "Agent Posts" two sentences or more and I'll be fine with it.

If you're curious about the players, this topic links to most of the created guys, upon request I can list off the stats of others. William Hunter is mainly just a good fielder who can't hit that well yet, I don't remember if he has a second position or not.

I decided to bring one of my players into this to see if it changes anything, the player is here: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=3534

Gene registers into Free Agency:

A 19 year old player named Gene, who has been the best player of every baseball team he’s been on, has signed into Free Agency yesterday, awaiting being signed by a team. He was interviewed earlier today, when asked what positions he played, he responded with “Everything really, mostly infield, like Second Base, but any team that needs a good position player anywhere would do well to sign me.” GM and Manager of the PowerPros, Mr. Johnson, was asked if Gene could be the solution to the problems of lacking a good second baseman, “Ideally, we’d like to sign him, ideally, we’d like to be rich too, you see where I’m going with this? He has never yet proven himself in the Major Leagues, he could wind up being a bust, I’m not paying him 15,000 for his rookie year, that’s more than a third of our teams current salary, and 11,000 more than our most expensive player, we just don’t think any rookie should wind up with that salary. When Gene was asked about his asking price, he responded with “People are lucky I’m not asking for anything more, this is basically just a sample price, after my rookie year I’ll be expecting a huge raise.” So who will sign Gene, the arrogant, 19 year old second baseman? Will he perform as well as he’s confident he will? We’ll all have to wait and see...

Astros defeat PowerPros 6-2:

The pitching was less than perfect for the PowerPros, starting pitcher Gregorio pitched 5 innings giving up 5 runs taking the loss, reliever Gobble gave up one run in 3 innings, and Brady Reeves had a shutout 9th inning. Villarreal got the win for the Astros, pitching 2.1 innings, allowing 1 run, Miguel Tejada won player of the game, leading the Astros with a 5-5 game, 2 RBIs, and one run scored. Robert went in as a defensive replacement in the top of the 9th, he had no plays but in the bottom of the 9th, he had a weak hit, getting him to first, a double play ended the game appropriately summarizing Portland’s offensive struggles. There were no home runs in the game. PowerPros will look to avoid the sweep in Game 4 of the series tomorrow.

Gene signed by Astros:

Surprisingly enough, Gene has already found a team willing to pay an outrageous salary for a rookie, Gene will be looking to lead the Astros, who are currently 2 games back of a 4 way tie in the NL Central. It is unknown whether Gene will play against the PowerPros in tomorrow’s game. It is also a mystery why the Astros signed him, their infield is already performing well, Wigginton hitting .317 at Third, Kazuo Matsui leading the team in hits at Second, and Berkman and Tejada have salaries high enough that benching them would be foolish. We currently don’t know how they’re taking the fact that the Astros are now paying a rookie more money than them.

Portland avoids sweep with 7-2 win:

Starting pitcher Kevin Parker has continued his dominance at the major league level, pitching 8 innings and only allowing 2 runs, one on the solo home run by Wigginton in the 8th. The 8th inning was the only one he had trouble with, allowing the Astros to load the bases with nobody out, after the home run, but on a passed ball that didn’t get far enough, they got an out at home, followed by a strikeout on a foul tip, and a weak groundout, Fikac closed out the 9th for him, improving his record to 4-0. The PowerPros have continued their power drought, continuing to fail to hit home runs. It appears they don’t really need them, as they can score fine without them. Robert got the start at Second, going 2-4 and driving in his second RBI of the year. Gene did not play for the Astros this game.

McConnell hits PowerPros first walk off in 5-4 victory against Cubs:

In what was arguably the PowerPros most exciting game of the season so far, the PowerPros managed a great late game comeback. Up 2-0 in the 6th, PowerPros starter Maxwell gave up back to back home runs to D.Lee and A.Ramirez to make it a 3-2 Cubs lead. In the 8th inning, Portland reliever Fireballer pitched a third of an inning, giving up a run and leaving runners on First and Second, Brady Reeves came into the game and didn’t let them score. In the bottom of the 8th, Robert got on base to start the inning, Average, who was a home run away from the cycle, got up, looking to tie things up, he failed, grounding out to replace the first base runner. After Average was Tim, a batter much well known for his power hitting, he did not disappoint, knocking a fastball 449 feet, over the wall, and past the stands, his 12th home run of the year, tying things up at 4. Brady Reeves pitched a scoreless 9th to set things up for a PowerPros walk off. Ryan Evert singled to start off the inning, Hunter grounded out to replace him at first, McConnell pinch hit for Reeves, hitting the ball deep into center field, it bounced in just the right way to get caught under the center field fence, where nobody could recover it in time to get William Hunter, who scored from First Base, giving Brady Reeves his second win.

No shortage of home runs in PowerPros 7-6 loss:

PowerPros reliever Malzhan got credit for a heartbreaking loss last night in Portland, giving up a home run in the 9th to give the Cubs a lead. 5 of the PowerPros runs came by home run, 2 solo home runs by Tim, who hit them 521 feet and 538 feet respectively, I think it’s safe to say his fans can’t wait until the Home Run Derby. The last home run was hit 492 feet by Dolby Nagy, a 3 run home run that tied the game in the 8th. PowerPros managed to get Ryan Evert to third in the 9th, but a great play by the Cubs shortstop retired pinch hitter Kevin Parker to end the game. Eyre got credit for the Cubs’ win, while Dempster got his 6th save of the year.

High scoring series ends with 8-6 Portland win:

In their last game before a short road trip, the PowerPros started Whiteman, who pitched 5 innings giving up 4 runs to pick up the win, Fikac got his 6th save by pitching a scoreless 9th inning. All the hitters helped on the scoring, Phkrds was the only starting player without a hit, and the only one who did not score a run or RBI. Soriano, Lee, and Ramirez all hit home runs for the Cubs, but could not stop Lieber from getting a loss.

Is there a way to go back and see the score, winner, loser, save, home runs, of any particular game?
It would make my road trips easier and make stats more realistic, because as far as I can tell, even when you have it set to fast play or watch, the game still depends on you to make managerial moves in the game, most important being pitcher changes.

If you go to the schedule and press Z, I think, you can see the scores for every game that day.
I'm not sure if Z's the actual button, but I know one of those buttons does it. :P

Yeah, but that's all it does, it doesn't say winning pitcher or home runs hit for any of those games, so I guess I have to play them all, although I can't seem to get a realistic amount of losses that way.

It'd be a little tedious, but I guess another option would be to take their stats beforehand, then sim a series, then look at their stats afterwards.

Both pitchers pitch complete games in PowerPros 3-2 win over the Mets:

The PowerPros starter Kevin Parker pitched a full 9 innings, getting run support in the 2nd and 7th innings; Tim Inidator hit a home run in the 2nd, and scored after an infield single in the 7th. He had a 2 run lead with 2 outs in the 9th inning, when he ran into some trouble, giving up back to back home runs to Delgado and Beltran, tying things up at 2. Parker almost ran into further trouble, but, on what looked like a sure double to right-center, Rodney Harrison appeared out of nowhere to make a phenomenal diving catch. With runners on second and third with 2 out in the bottom of the 9th, Ryan Evert hit a line drive into the gap to walk off with the win, credited to Kevin Parker, John Maine took the loss for the Mets. Brian Schneider had to be taken out of the game after running into a wall, but he would not need to be put on the DL, and is expected to return for the next game.

Also, I'm taking suggestions, if anybody has any, for how to make this log more interesting, there are so many more popular logs, while mine only gets comments if I ask questions, I'm not sure how I can fix that, but let me know if you have any ideas.
