Well to answer you, our pitching stinks. Hill had the best start of the year against the indians and he gave up 7 runs. Our Offense is great, we just hit into WAY to many double plays and I hold down a button to long to cause a run down. I'm hoping this Billy Beane stlye trade I requested will help.

Pirates Get
Jack Cust LF
Emil Brown LF/RF

Athletics Get
Paul Malhom SP
Ryan Doumit C/RF/1B
Jason Bay LF

Wow, great trades! Let's just hope your players perform on the field!

If you keep making trades like those you'll be in first place in no time!

Nice job pulling off that trade for Bay hes a beast

Ryan Sweeney could be a beast for you if you train him or something.

Your rotation looks good but if you got one big name pitcher or hitter (no offense Big Hurt or Bay) you'd be set.
Nice work and good luck

ROSTER UPDATE!!!!
Thanks to a boatload of trades the past few days (just the ones I've mentioned so far), the roster is shakin' up a bit. So here is the current roster if nobody was hurt.

LINEUP
1. Ellis 2B
2. T. Buck RF
3. F. Thomas DH
4. E. Chavez 3B
5. Bay LF
6. M. Sweeney 1B
7. Crosby SS
8. Denorfia CF
9. Suzuki C

BENCH
Doumit C/RF/1B
T. Perez 2B/SS/3B
R. Sweeney OF

ROTATION
1. Blanton
2. R. Hill
3. Maholm
4. Morris
5. Nomo
6. Harden

BULLPEN
SM
Braden
MR
Foulke
Marmol
SL
O' Flaherty
SU
Duchscherer
Saarloos
CL
Street

mets4life: Thanks for your comments. I'm honestly pretty set with my lineup, I don't really see anyway to get another blockbuster trade out of my roster unless I trade Buck or something and let Sweeney play RF. And Ryan Sweeney has really suprised me. He's done well as Buck is out with a Broken Collarbone.

Longball: Yeah, I'm extremely pleased with the trades so far. I hope to pull off another blockbuster a la Billy Beane later, I just don't see any room for improvement.

Joe Blanton is very pleased to be heading the rotation, and hopes he can get some more offensive support thanks to the trades. An 0-6 start doesn't exactly inspire confidence, though.

Braden and Buck to DL

Dallas Braden and Travis Buck have been placed on the 15 day DL today after there game with Toronto. Braden was the starter as Paul Maholm had pitched for the Pirates the night he was traded. He came out of the game with Elbow Pains and this injury is similar to Matt Morris' injury eariler this year. Travis Buck broke his collerbone running into the wall trying to rob a home run. He will take 30 days to recover.

Andrew Brown and Jeff Fiorentino have been called up from AAA Sacremento to take the open roster spots.

GM Scott Eagle responds by saying he think Blanton is the best pitcher we have right now and he's shown it on the mound. Eagle jus wishes we could go longer into games and not have Starters collapse early and leave the Pen tired as well, though this is not a problem of Blanton's.

A's Lose Tough One to Jays

Ben Stomper

The A's today lost a tough game in Toronto, losing 5-3 to the Jays. Jason Bay came out of his early season slump to hit two homers but it wasn't enough to over come an early 5-0 hole to win.

Another note, we are now 0-11 to start the year. Blanton is on tap to make the next start against the Clevlend Indians, going up against CC Sabathia.

BBB: Since your client got traded away, I'll give you first pick of a new client if you respond within 3 days.

Also, you guys can have up to 3 players be your clients. So if you want another client or two, tell me.

Wait a minute, an update! Yes, GM Scott Eagle has returned STILL looking for his first win as a GM. Sorry I'm taking so long with this log, All-Stars in Little League and doing two different season modes along with this one (Braves, Dream Draft) have drained on me. This log should be updated steadily now in the mornings after group play in the World Cup is done  . It still will be updated more often.

Morris Off DL, Back in Rotation

Matt Morris today was taken off the DL by Oakland and called up back into the Athletic rotation. Chad Gaudin was sent down to AAA Sacremento to make room for Morris.

Trade Rumors Swirl about the A's and Red Sox

Rumors of a possible Blockbuster trade are taking shape between the Boston Red Sox and Oakland A's. The deal is rumored to contain both teams starting First Baseman and a Starter from each rotation. The Red Sox are also rumored to be giving up an Ace Reliver as well. Theo Epstien, Red Sox GM, declined to comment on the rumors. GM Scott Eagle of the Oakland A's was about to make a comment when his assistant that thinks he doesn't know what the DH rule is pulled him away.
