I thought it was June 20-21st this year, at least, in the Northern Hemisphere. Where do you live?

I'm guessing his school let out already, which pisses me of royally, seeing as how I have another MONTH of school left.

Ugh, i know.

Stupid school schedules...

Well, just gotta wait till June 9th. (don't know if i can last that long...)

The scheduled calender of my school makes no sense:

June 11th is the last day of classes.
June 18th is the last day of exams.
And it has June 25th listed as "Last Day For Students", with no other event listed.

So, according to our schedule, we have to go to school for an extra week after exams, but we won't be having any classes.

Louisana,school started on Augest 7th,and we dont have snow days to make up like you guys,so yeah.

June 18th is the last day for us, we start school the day after Labor Day.
Our school system's really stingy about making up school days, though, so when snow took out two days of school, what did they do?
They did this: added 20 minutes to each school day for 2 months!

My school gets out on June 4th, had a few snow days, started day after Labor Day.

I can almost count down the days on my fingers now! 12 days to go for me!

Wow, I'm pretty sure I'd rather go to school on a weekend than do that, did they add it into one class or add 4-5 minutes to each class?

I've found school significantly more annoying since they've added a sixth class, you basically do nothing in it, and you aren't allowed to talk. To make the time for it, they took away the 15 minute break, took a minute off the time allowed to get to each class, eliminated 20 minutes out of lunch, and took 3 minutes off each class. So, the day didn't get any longer, but seemed way longer. As I reread this, I notice that it is barely relevant at all.

There is barely any snow in California. Just a tip.

We get out on June 10th at my school; we're finishing up Testing today for 7th grade stuff. Then I have to take another test for Alegbra 1 on June 2nd for 3-4 hours. Oh Joy.

We have 4 classes each day at my school, but because I signed up for an extra class, I only get lunch/study block every other day.
Next year, because I'll be taking two languages simultaneously, I'll have no lunch/study block at all.

Wow that sucks. My school allows us 3 school days every year. If we have more, then we need to go to school during Spring Break for the extra day(s) but that has never happened and we usually get away with a day less of school. If we have less than three days then we get to start summer vacation earlier (we have finals two weeks before school ends).





You mean study hall? How did you only have 5 classes? I have 8 in a day and several classes I only have some days of a cycle. SS, science, math, english, foreign language, gym, art, ELA enrichment, advanced enrichment, study hall, family consumer science now and computer class in the first semester.


And sjax, why would you give up your lunch period? What do you get out of having an extra class? Can you graduate earlier?

If I wanted to, I could graduate after my junior year, because I got almost the required number of credits that designates a sophomore from middle school alone.
Maybe study abroad in Japan...

Because we usually don't get snow down here (once every 4 years it sticks, basically, with this year being the exception), they took out the scheduled snow days for this year. That didn't work out too well

8 classes in a day? My school day doesn't even last 8 hours. And I haven't had classes on certain days since middle school.

Sjax what high school do you go to? I want to see their program and what is the graduation requirements for your state. Also, I was wondering if you were planning on an AP classes or taking any specific SAT II?
