I had an awful day yesterday. I struck out 3 times in a town game(I didn't make contact the whole game and I just looked awful, I got hit in the elbow too). I had bad grades on a progress report and I got lunch detentions for 2 weeks for doing...nothing

And to cap it off the Yankees crushed the Red Sox(again), the Celtics got crushed and the Bruins should have swept the Flyers in overtime and now I have to wait til Monday to watch them again

A day I want to forget

Wow jacobye that sucks, I am sure you must have done something that you aren't telling us to get lunch detention for two whole weeks. What was it?

My Final Exams start Thursday,Im behind ALOT in schoolwork.I've been failing in baseball lately,2 game no hitting streak.I=My life sucks ALOT.

I have been doing pretty well in real life baseball. I failed to make the middle school modified team even though I was one of the best infielders in tryouts. I guess the coach thought I wasn't a good enough hitter or my arm was too weak, not sure. But in Babe Ruth League I have been playing really well. I have stuck it as the regular second baseman and I play a little third too. My arm is fine enough for infield, just not outfield. I have been hitting pretty well, I haven't gotten any extra base hits but I have three hits and 4 walks I think, my OBP is about .400. Next year I am definitely making the school team. I have watched some of my school games and some kids on the school team are pretty bad. A lot of kids tell me I should have made the team. Some kids told me I was the best in tryouts which I know is not true but I did pretty well in tryouts and nobody is quite sure why I didn't make the team. Next year when I make it the coach is going to be so embarassed that he missed out on my the year before.

Anyway, I don't have finals until June. I don't end school until the 3rd or 4th week in June but I don't start school until the 2nd week of September. When do you guys finish school?

well my teacher accused me of "not paying attention to her". She asked me a theoretic question like "do you want a lunch detention, yes?". I was confused so I didn't really respond thus the detentions. I guess its somewhat on me but whatever

And for baseball I made NO contact and it was just awful. I had to pitch for the 1st time ever(did well) and made a lot of plays from 3rd base where I very rarely play. I actually am pretty good for my age but striking out 3 times when I get hitting lessons a lot more than most kids and still looking like the worst hitter on the field. It was just one game but I have swung and missed a lot this season

I was so terrible I had to drop out of real life baseball, after a nice 3 year hitless streak. Well, I had 1 in there somewhere.

I was like that too for a few seasons but I practiced and got private coaching and now I am better. I had a few bunt hits from time to time. I was just terrified at the plate, when I was in third grade I got hit in the head but right under where the helmet ended. Then for the next two or three seasons I would back off the plate on every pitch and it wasn't even fun. Then I got hit again and it didn't hurt as much so I kind of realized getting hit wasn't so bad and I got over it.

the canines are a type of tooth, between the molars and the incisors I think. (incisors = front, molars = back)

I went on a 0-17 streak over like 7-8 games for two different teams (LL Juniors & School Ball). I started hitting the ball well today again, going 2-3. Also pitched a complete game for Juniors, going 5.0 with 5 R and 0 ER. My team can't field .

My school team stinks . We're 0-12 with maybe 3 close games. I haven't been playing much, but I played pretty well when asked to.

I'm doing pretty well in school, but EOC in Algebra is coming up and I have a TON of hw for it this weekend. Overall though, my life's pretty good right now.

What did you guys get your moms/wives for Mothers Day? I got my mom the whole first season of I Love Lucy on DVD, she is going to love it.

In my family, the other parent buys the gift for Mother's/Father's Day. But my dad forgot so I made a homemade card for her in my room this morning .

In my family we all get mom a present. At least you get her something from someone. I asked all of my friends what they got their mom for mothers day and they said they didn't get her anything. I was shocked that so many kids didn't get their moms anything. Excuses:

"I forgot."
"I don't know."
"I don't feel like it."
"I don't know what to get her."

And my favorite conversation.

Me: what did you get her?
him: nothing
me: why not?
him: I dont have any money
me: so how do you keep buying so many video games? (he has a new game like every month)
him: my mom buys them for me
me: so dont you think you can show some appreciation and get her something?
him: I want to but I dont have money
me: so get a job
him: no I don't feel like it
me: too bad! if you love your mom you would stop playing so many video games and go get some money!
him: I guess I love my video games more than my mom then.

My dad, sis and I went out yesterday and got her about ten books, a laptop case, an iPod case, reading glasses, and a new watering can.
And cupcakes, but I just stayed outside the store and checked my email on my mp3 player.
I don't like sweets
No, really.

Also, we're going to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner tonight!
