Arguelles, who turns 20 on Jan. 20, defected with Boston Red Sox shortstop Jose Iglesias at the 2008 World Junior Championships in Edmonton, Alberta. He likely will start in the lower minors to work on command of his fastball, which is in the low-90 mph range.

A solid 6-foot-4, Arguelles pitched for the La Habana Vaqueros in the Cuban National Series and was the winning pitcher in the gold medal game of the Pan American Junior Championships in 2007.

OK, sorry for DP, but the sweepstakes for Aroldis Chapman is coming down to the wire with the Blue Jays reportedly offering $23 Million. Who do you think's gonna get him?

I like the Blue Jays getting him for 2 reasons, as follows:

1. I like the Blue Jays.
2. It would be nice to see quite possibly the best current prospect outside of the U.S play for the only team outside of the U.S.

Aroldis Chapman is overrated. I heard his control is not very good and he doesn't really have any good secondary pitches. Plus his ERA hasn't been exactly ace-like in the Cuban league and I've heard he may be better suited as a reliever. So why pay $23 million for a great fastball?

I agree. I believe he's going to flame out. Pitchers with 100 mph fastballs are almost always overrated, and many of them burn out because of control problems or injuries. It's the ones with excellent control that are underrated.

I like this for the Royals. Because of this, the Royals will have one of the speediest outfields in the MLB with Podsednik in left, Crisp in center, and DeJesus probably moving to right. The team will certainly bail their fly ball pitchers out with their speed, as they can obviously get to fly balls faster.

Umm... Crisp already became a free agent and signed with the Oakland A's.

Vlad Guerrero signs 1-year deal with Rangers

Not only was that post bad grammar but it didn't make any sense at all. If you think "his" a better pitcher than what I argued, at least tell us why.

Aroldis Chapman signs with Cincinatti for 5 years and $30 million.

Today Mark McGuire admits to taking steriods. Finally....

I say this is good. Now we can hopefully start knocking down names and everyone will come out and admit it.
