Yep. But since 2008(when I took over the pirates!) this has been there worst season
and I have chosen Mike Fontenot as MVP for the nlds!

Me! Besides, the mets have been in the world series since 2008-2010 and they won once(2008)

I might end this incredible streak hopefully but they've been by far the best NL team since 2008. But this is their worst record so far since 2008, not having delgado or even Sheffield starting at 1st base like he did last year hurt this team so I think they used a draft pick, I'll do a preview later

National League Champion Series Preview - Pittsburgh Pirates Vs New York Mets






The Pittsburgh Pirates and New York Mets are set to meet for the second straight year after the Pirates beat the Marlins in 5 games and the Mets beat the Diamondbacks in 5 games and so the Pirates will try to stop the most dominant team since 2008 from making the World Series for a 4th straight year(they won once in 2008). The Mets beat the Pirates in 4 games in last years NLDS last year due to an extra innings homerun that would send the Mets to the NLCS. The Pirates still have a very dominant team, they the 2nd most runs in the majors(907) which is an incredible amount considering that they got barely anything out of first base and they are only a National League team. Their pitching staff led by Johan Santana and new Met Jeremy Bonderman, the Mets had a 4.04 ERA as a pitching staff and they also had a nice bullpen of JJ Putz(3.35 ERA), Billy Wagner(3.49), Bobby Parnell(1.87) and course Fransisco Rodriguez(1.47 ERA, 25/25 saves), but the most impressive part is the lineup. Wright hit 36 homeruns and hit a team high .351, Beltran hit 43 homeruns, 2nd in the national league, Reyes hit .313 and hit 19 and Scheider hit .323. They had some rough parts thoug, their starting 1st basemen hit .265 with 6 homeruns in 78 games while also platooning with Sheffield and a draft pick Pickler for a while and they didn't do too well either and Jeff Francouer hit only .227 but with 24 homeruns, two other players to note are Luis Castillo(.245 AVG) and Daniel Murphy(13 HR). Although this was the Mets worst since 2007, the Mets look stronger with a great offense and an improved rotation for sure.

How does Brian Schneider hit .323??? Did you edit him to be really good? Doesn't he have a D or an E contact?

I never edited him. He always is the NL starting catcher in the allstar game
he has e contact and I am never going to figure out how he does it

I think it's the stance sometimes, that's why Hamilton, Gonzalez and Berkman aren't good when you edit him, their stance is nothing really and I've noticed that changing their stances makes them better

Weird. Does he have any special abilities that could make a difference? Contact Hitter, Spray Hitter, Slap Hitter, etc? And what is his default stance? I would check but all of my players have been edited.

I think the ability "Good Eye" makes a difference. You always notice A-Rod with his insanely unhuman batting stuff. Manny too, same thing with Jeter and Posada. They all have Good Eye and some like of Contact Hitter/Power Hitter/Intimidator...My guys from success got like way better stuff than them, but they dont have Good Eye which causes them to be one level lower.
