I should do something to 2ksports, if they dont release mlbpp10.

It's a great game, but it's only a game. Is there anything morally wrong about not releasing it? Sure 2K's other sports games aren't very good, but we all seem to be making it more of a moral issue when it's really not. It just makes thing nicer for us. As great of a game as it is, there are other, better games out there. I thing your real attachment with it is this site, which will probably continue to exist. So if it doesn't come out, yeah it will stink. But we'll move on. And we really can't blame 2k if it doesn't earn them money, because why should they risk falling under until the economy progresses?

It could make them a lot more money if they put any of their advertising budget on it.

Everything cownip has said is right. I assume that if a mod on 2kSports' forum is looking at Power Pro topics is a victory. My therory is that they arn't giving us any "news" because the anwser is "no". But they want us to have hope and still buty other 2k games and not get ticked off at them.

Well, they must be pretty stupid, because we've been telling them that not telling us anything tells us that they just don't care about us and it ticks us off more. Enough to make us not want to buy any of there other games ever again.

I don't know if that's quit true. While it might earn sales, it would be hard to advertise. I mean honestly I had no interest when I first heard about it, I only got it because it was on sale for 50% off and cost 20$. It was my first Wii game. The cartoon characters are a big turn off, no one really realizes how good it is. You can't judge a book by looking at its cover, but that doesn't stop anyone from trying.

Now no company will ever say they are not making the game. It handcuffs them from future opportunities or if they change there mind.They really aren't doing anything wrong there, and while what they are doing obviously does not appeal to fans of the Power Pros series, I think we can understand why they don't.

Well, in my opinion, the two major things needed to advertise would be the ability to make your own teams, and the ability to make players through Success Mode (couldn't hurt to advertise MLB Life either). I believe my first impression if I haven't played it would be that I would definitely buy it as no other baseball games give the option of creating your own team.

Wait! We still have a point against 2K. It appears they're making a series of these craptacular minigame collections. Using that website Apple found, I found out that MLB Superstars, the first installment, sold 30,000. That's completely pathetic compared to Power Pros' 100,000. I don't think there's going to be much more sales just because they added a few more measly minigames, but there would probably have been a good boost in sales with Konami packing PP09 full of awesomeness and just a little more advertising. It also can't be much harder to translate a game that's already been made than to shove some boring minigames into a disc. 2K has no way to justify using these minigames in favor of Power Pros, so they'll have to come crawling back to Konami after these minigames flop again.

Mostly the company sold 5.5 million copies of mlbpp.

Well that shows, in all likelyhood, that MLB Superstars isn't going to be a big sell out. But there not going to risk two in one year. That's a good sign, next year is a little more likely as it might take its place. But it probably won't happen.

Well you know that Sony,Microsoft, and Wii have been cutting very great titles.

2k HAS finally made a good game besides for pp. NHL2K10 is a very good game.

NHL2K10 cant be that good, I played it before.

The cost to translate such a text and voice-heavy game must be too great for the sales.

Hopefully 2k sees that they could better focus their energies on this game series than their pathetic 2k brand, but if that fails, our only hope is to pray that MLBPP10 comes out for PS3 instead so it's easy to import.

I picked up Pro Yakyuu Spirits 6 for that very reason, since it's a Konami game (plays like PP), but it only has NPB teams (and a WBC mode). I'd kill for MLB teams, even if the game were in Japanese, but I don't feel comfortable modding my Wii nor am I interested in buying a Japanese Wii to play the game.

Seriously, our last hope, since 2k seems blind to this, is to pray for this series to transition to the PS3
