Hi,

I own the DS version and I just bought the Wii version on the web. Unfortunately, there is no game manual with my game. As I have the DS version it's quite easy to understand the game and the wiki do the rest but I'd like to know :

1) Can I run faster with the classic controller (like the B button on DS) ?
2) Is there a way to display the run speed of players that are on base (like the DS version ) ?
3) I don't understand the blue/red squares inside the strike zone, what is this feature ?
4) How to use the bullpen (as it doesn't exist in the DS version...) ?

Please excuse my English, I'm French...

Thanks in advance for your answers 8)

Thanks,

1) Do the L/R buttons have the same function on Wii and PS2 ? Do I need to Jab L1/R1 ou L2/R2 ?
2) Bad news...
3) Understood
4) Yeah I know this, but what the difference between a pitcher who comes from the bullpen and a basic pitcher switch ?

4. The bulpenn gets them warmed up. If they don't warm up, they are not as effective.

2) Isn't there a way to display the player's abilities so when they come to bat, you see their CON/PWR/SPD and when they are on base, you see SPD?

Also, Bullpen isn't available in Season, Success or MLB Life Modes. Only in Exhibiton, but not for the Wii Remote.

The bullpen feature is a tedious pain in the arse, especially for a game specifically designed to play fast and furious.

You can always pause the game, select score, and see the players abilities.

1. Don't know about the Classic Controller, sorry.
2. Yes, just go to the pause menu and go to the box score, then just go over the player you want to know about and view his stats. Or you can do the same in Pinch Runner.
3. Those squares are his Hot and Cold zones for hitting. Blue is cold, red is hot.
4. Bullpen is used just for Exhibition mode, don't worry about it I don't think it matters.

And by the way you have very good English.

I'm glad to see so many answers :D

1) Ok... I'll try everything on my Classic Controller to find how to sprint :?
2) Yes, I'm disapointed because the DS Version automatically displays the batter stats and runner stats. It's usefull to hit and run or steal bases, and easier than opening the players stats.
3) Ok
4) As I only tried the Exhibition mode I thought the bullpen was available in every modes .

I will start the Success Mode soon :)

1) I'm pretty sure it'd be the L and R buttons. With the Nunchuck it's B and Z
2) If you have runners on base, then you can pause and choose pinch runner, and it will show their run speed. If it's the CPU, you have to use score.
BobbyBaseball pretty much got 3 and 4 just right.

B and Z on the nunchuck make you run faster, but they are also the contact/power buttons. So try the contact/ power buttons for the classic controller.

Is it visible on the screen when a player is sprinting ?
I tried "R", "Zr" and "R/Zr", but I don't know if it works... I see nothing in the base running practice.

Since the manual says to alternate the B and Z buttons when using the Nunchuk, I imagine you would have to alternate the L and R on the Classic Controller, like Zumikaku mentioned.

I don't see the speed boost either. It seems like it's just a small boost. I always try it anyway because on really close plays I'm never safe without doing it, but I'm sometimes safe when I do it.
