I know how you feel. in the MIDDLE of the year going into a school with some tough kids from a school full of preps(there were 15 people in my grade before) and I went to a school where I knew only a few people, and they weren't even in my class. and I lost some of my good friends because they all went to another school so I went there without any old friends pretty much, except for the 5 minute bus rides. and in the end I livedm but I have to say that I have alot of friends that I talk to at school, but I only hang out with a few of them

same odds this year, the friends I was hoping would be in my classes were not and the kids I didn't want in my class(major jocks) are all there. but they don't hate me, they actually kind of like me for some reason so its all good

sorry just had to share my personal experience

Well, here what my day included:

1. Biology HW
2. Algebra with a substitute teacher (which is gonna be there for 3 weeks)
3. Actually not bad in Tech Lit
4. More information about things in Choir
5. Running a mile and borrowing somebody else's shorts for gym (Forgot gym bag at home; apparently my mom brought it to school)...and running for a full 15 minutes!

im in a tougher school.

yeah well try going to go to school 2 years in a row without summer break

Started school today.

Science teacher is an old hag,
English teacher has a Dominican accent,
Italian teacher has a lisp,
Math teacher is on a maternity leave,
and Social Studies teacher has a horrible reputation.

I'm gonna have a great year!

Same here with my math (Algebra) teacher, man. 3 weeks.

my friend got the swine flu. I hope he is ok.

My gym teacher told me that 30 percent of Americans have swine flu. Waaaaaaay more than I would have guessed.

You guys know that the regular flu is causing more trouble than the swine flu, right?

Anyway, I finished day 5 of cross country today. Everyone left me hanging during stretches. All the returning 8th graders are supposed to lead the stretches, but I was the only one who didn't chicken out of the leadership role AGAIN. During actual practice, I had to run 1.5 miles and 15 hills. I would've done more hills, but my legs had been sore for a while, my mouth was dry, and we ran out of time.

I had baseball practice for the first time since spring. I was so rusty but then I got the hang of it again.
