Alrighty. Have the Red Sox and Yankees ever done a trade together since the Babe was traded?

Yeah thumbs up for the Red Sox. Carter is a left fielder/first base. He will do terribly in Citi Field.

But you have to remember, when you trade a play for players to be named later, the player named later usually is some high time prospect, or even a mediocre prospect.

The PTBNL in the Wagner deal is a lesser propect than Chris Carter, according to the Boston Herald.

As for Carter, it's too early to comment on his acquisition. They chose him because they believed he was the best prospect the Sox were willing to depart with. At some point down the line, the Mets may be able to trade him for another prospect or two to a team that likes his offense and doesn't mind his defense.

Chris Carter was claimed by the Yankees. Red Sox also put a claim in on Rich Harden from what I'm hearing.

Laughable article stating the Yankees have a better farm system than the Sox.

Just going to throw this out there:

Quote:
The Lester-Joba comparison is also laughable considering what Lester has accomplished while Joba hasn't even had 1 full productive season.

Most of the players on the Sox who are responsible for their dominance so far this year are homegrown, unlike C.C, AJ and Tex on the Yankees.

Chris Carter will be going in the Wagner deal... I hope he finds a spot in Majors one day, he's a great player offensively. He's got great potential.

Well, when you lose a series 2-1 to the worst team in the league, give away your number 3 starter, and sell your team, your season pretty much over, Cubs...
