Consider yourself lucky. My school doesn't even have a baseball team. I have to stick with Cross Country.

I live in the West, so it's probably bedtime for most of you people. I have it the worst trying to find SY games.

Yuck. I hate running. I did cross country once in eighth grade, but high school cross country is worse, so I'm not doing it.

I HATE MY BUS DRIVER!!!!! SHE IS SO CLUELESS! SHE HAD TO HAVE SOMEONE RIDING WITH HER IN THE BUS TO GIVE HER DIRECTIONS AND HE GAVE HER THE WRONG DIRECTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!WE WOUND UP GETTING TO SCHOOL FIFTEEN MINUTES AFTER IT STARTED!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHE WAS ALSO LATE PICKING US UP FROM SCHOOL! NOT JUST 10 MINUTES LATE, BUT SHE WAS FORTY MINUTES LATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MY MOM JUST CALLED THE BUS COMPANY TO COMPLAIN AND THEY DENIED EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why do all of you hate school? The best thing about school to me is the course work. I couldn't careless about the other kids. I just wanted to get there, enjoy the history, math and English lessons then leave.

There is no point in hating school beacause whether you want to or not, you have to go to school. Just look forward to your favorite subject(s) (for me Science and History) and get through the day. Eventually you will be done with school, whether it's when you're 16 or however older.

I actually don't hate school that much

And plus I'll see my friends and other people that I like to see, I just went to a new school a few months before school ended so I wasn't gonna make a truckload of friends when I went there at the beggining but I'll probably make a few more this year

and I don't really like the classes part, I like gym and lunch obviously but it all depends on what kids are in my classes as well

Exactly. It's not that I hate school. I don't mind going to school to learn and do work, but I hate when we have to use our time at home for school, too. What's the point?

The point of homework is to practice what you learned for the day over and over again so you eventually perfect it or get better at it. I can't count how many times I was ecstatic when I received homework on something I was struggling with because I always knew my parents or older siblings would be at home to help me understand it.

In ninth grade, I was taking calculus. I already paid my debt to the other classes in junior high, so I decided to take a high school level course instead of one I already knew. Well, calculus turned out to be really, really confusing for me at first. The teacher couldn't explain it well enough for me, so I'd always struggle in class at first until my older brother came home from Northwestern University over Thanksgiving. He saw I had homework, explained it to me, checked my answers, explained why things were long, told me what "path" I should take to fix them and I eventually got all the answers right in class after coming back from Thanksgiving break. That might sound a little off-topic, but the point is if I didn't get homework, my brother wouldn't have helped me and I'd probably be stuck in the ninth grade.

Scientists learn that a high percentage of kids learn more if they go through the lesson twice. Like, if your trying to memorize something, for example, looking over it multiple times would be more effecient than looking at it once.

and how early do you have to get up to catch the bus?
this question's for all of you guys, for me it's around 5:15 (AM)

I get driven to school by my parents, so I'm not worried.

I'm still in MS so I wake up at 6AM. I could sleep in, but the earlier you wake up, the more time you have to play power pros in the morning!
