it looks like the season is counting down a little

so far with your record you look like you'll be around the 95-98 win range which will definatly put you somewhere in the postseason

9/20 - Twins (74-80) @ Rays (91-62): Game 3
Morishita*: (3 - 7), 5.36 ERA vs. Andy Sonnanstine: (14 - 4), 2.67 ERA

ST. PETERSBURG -- The Rays have been shutout for the second game in this series, today being shutout by a rookie pitcher, Morishita*. The only run scored came in the second on a Brendan Harris RBI single. Morishita went the distance for the Twins with a complete game, six hit shutout to complete the Twins' second win of this series.

Final Score:
Twins: 1
Rays: 0

Image
Morishita* (W, 4-7): 9 IP, 6 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 1 K

Michael Cuddyer: 0-4, R
Brendan Harris: 1-4, RBI

Image
Andy Sonnanstine (L, 14-5): 9 IP, 6 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 1 K

Carlos Pena: 2-4, 2B

Ouch. This one was painful because their pitcher sucked. All he had was a four-seam fastball with a top speed of 89 mph. No breaking balls. I wasn't taking pitches in this game because he kept throwing his fastball places I THOUGHT I could hit it, and any time I got good contact on it, It'd end up being a fly out. And I had a chance to score, and I blew it. Carlos Pena's double, I was trying to stretch to a triple and he was BARELY called out at third, and the next batter, Longoria hit one off the wall in right that COULD have scored Pena whether he was on second or third. Frustrating game...

9/21 - Athletics, Yankees Clinch Their Divisions
In the west, the Oakland Athletics have clinched the AL West, currently at a record of 89-65, and ten games up on the Angels, they are thrilled to be headed back to the playoffs after two years without making it. While on the east coast, the New York Yankees have clinched the AL East division, currently with the best record in the majors at 100-55, and eight and half up on the Tampa Bay Rays, who will most likely be the wild card winner. The Yankees continue their streak of playoff runs, and hope this year is twenty-seven in World Series victories.

I think I've officially won the WC, and the Brewers pretty much have the NL WC, but I won't post it until it says. Why does the game wait until after the final game to show who won the WCs?
