Yes, the Mets put Wagner on trade waivers on Wednesday. He's expected to go unclaimed, due to his sizeable salary.

I don't think they need him though, but in case something happened to Pettitte, Hughes could start and Wagner could set up. Wagner + Rivera = Pwn.

Yeah, the thought of Wagner going to the Yankees has crossed my mind. I don't like the idea of Hughes starting though. He's been far more effective as a reliever.

Cubs? I know they don't have the money, but we need a closer! We can't trust Marmol, he averages a walk an inning, We can't trust Gregg, other reasons, and Guzman hasn't really proven himself. Samardizija? Dempster? WE WANT KERRY WOOD BACK NOW! Wagner might fit, unless he ends up like B.J. Ryan..
