It appears that the Giants have set a date for a meeting to talk about a contract with Orlando Hernandez and Ronnie Belliard.

Orlando Hernandez

He could be the new swing man for the Giants

Ronnie Belliard

JOE NATHAN HAS COME AND SAID "I WILL NOT SIGN WITH GIANTS"

Image

Closing pitcher has cited that he will not sign with the Giants. This comes after the Giants made it clear they are a little interested in him. Nathan has said that:

Quote:
I am a closer, and want to be a closer. If I sign with San Francisco, I am not guranteed a closer role.

Management doesn't seemed to fazed by this as they have plenty of other pitchers to mull around offer on their list. The only other being known, is Mark Hendrickson.

Make up your mind :)

Are you sure you don't want Nathan. He is a very good pitcher in middle relief/set up. He gives you an extra dimension with good breaking balls and a 98 heater.

Any more signings?

I'm sorry, I just don't want Belliard anymore...

I'm going to be like the Yankees and offer someone a huge contract at the last minute and steal them away. (Probably not...)

I actually do want Nathan, but I don't I sign him. 7 teams are in the race for him, and one offer is for almost 9million.

GIANTS ALMOST HAVE HENDRICKSON

The Giants have said that they are "very close" to signing relief pitcher Mark Hendrickson.

The Giants have also announced interest in Catcher Rod Barajas.

The Rockies also say that they have signed relief pitcher, Joaquin Benoit.

In the game, he sucks horribly. By the way, did you edit Kerry Wood's stats, and if so, how did you edit it?

Free agents still avaible:

Sabathia
Kerry Wood
Guerrero
Brad Penny
Jon Garland
Ryan Dempster
Flash Gordan
Rod Barajas
Travis Hafner
Carlos Delgado
Jim Thome
Nomar Garciaparra
Pedro Feliz
Adam Everett
David Eckstein
Manny Ramirez
Raul Ibanez
Milton Bradley

I'm kind of thinking of signing Willie Bloomquist to be a utility player, him or Nomar Garciaparra or Wes Helms. What do you guys think?

No Kerry Wood hasn't been edited. And he had a great year with the Padres.

Bloomquist because he's very fast, he plays infield and outfield, and he's probably cheap

He's very fast, but Wes Helms has the same speed, and better fielding, and I can probably get him just as cheap. And Nomah is Nomah.

What do you think about for a pitcher. I either want Dempster of Kerry Wood. but I don't mind not getting either.

Is it me, or is like half or the FA left are All-Stars?

For a utility player, I would suggest trading for the guy the Yankees just traded for. Or Brandon Inge.

Get Demspter, he can be a starter and has Spin 4 and FB life 4.

Yeah you're right. Dempster is good, but he's pretty expensive. I think I'll still try for him.

Who did the Yankees just trade for?

But you're right, maybe trade Ishikawa and a couple others for inge or the guy the Yankees just traded for, sign Nomar and make him at 3rd and move Sandoval to first... hmmmm

Those are just the Notable free agents left.

He is Eric Hinske.

There is another guy from the pirates who is a utility like Inge but sucks more. Inge is the ultimate utility. He has "A" Arm and good fielding. I believe Dempster has "Star", so he should be more expensive. If you look into the future, I think Dempster is still better as he has better BB and the same 4SFB. They are both the same age and your BP is excellent.

I thought it was Hinske.

He's not a free agent though.

The one on the Pirates is Ramon Vazquez. He is a free agent.

So I will chase after Dempster.

Do you really think I should trade for Inge too? Who would you recommend I trade? Like I said, maybe Ishikawa few others and then sign Nomar for 3B move Sandoval to 1st?
