I find it interesting that there are two New York teams, two Arizona teams amd two florida teams in the postseason...

Yankee Preview

Yep, the Yankees are back on top of the East and they are looking to squash The Desert's hopes. The Yankee's made there run based on offense and bad pitching. They had a 4.97 ERA which is below average but had an unheard of .297 team average and they scored nearly 1000 runs with 982 runs. For pitching, Wang and Sabathia were good with ERA's below 4 and Sabathia led the league in innings with 212.2. But after Wang and Sabathia, Burnett, Pettite and Chamberlain have ERA's over 6!. The bullpen didn't have anyone with ERA's under 4 either so its like a Texas Rangers type of club with two very good starters. Like I said about hitting, they are scary. Posada hit 30 homeruns and batted .353, A-Rod hit .343 and hit 39 A-Bombsm Teixara hit .300 but had a career high 46 homeruns, Matsui hit 23 and hit .315, Damon hit over .300, Jeter hit .321 and thats how the offense shapes up. Good pitching beats good hitting, but the question is do the Deserts have good pitching?

This should be an interestin match-up. The Bronx Bombers want a ring! I doubt they are going to let an expansion team get in their way too!

Cooper gets a sac fly and Smith hits a deep homerun
2-0 us! but that won't be enough probably :roll:

Edit: I simulated and the Yankees scored 6 times in the second :shock:

I've made it a gamw! I've been simulating/playing back and forth

It's now 8-6 Yankees in the 6th because of a 2 run double for Nomar and a 2 run shot for Ikari!

I've been going pretty fast but its still 8-6 going into the 9th :cry:

My pitchers lines are:
Tower: 1.2 IP, 6 ER
Nixon: 3.1, 2 Runs
Darvish: 2 IP, 0 Runs

Nixon is being put as long reliever because of his ugly season

and am I going too fast?

Massett VS Andy Pettite

This is gonna be tough, the only happy and healthy pitcher is Massett, I can't start Nixon because he worked alot yesterday, Towers is done for the series, Blanco is 2 or 3 days from recovering from that one-game playoff and Valentin isn;t feeling well.
This will take a true miracle

I'm not gonna get no-hit because Gonzalez hit a single but then was caught stealing
then Ikari just missed a homerun to right field

but teixiera didn't miss a homerun, he hit one over the center field wall

Being down 1game to none isn't that bad. But it will be bad if you lose this game. Only 1-0 though.

RBI Ground rule double by House, runners on 2nd and 3rd and edit: 1 out for Chavez against Pettite in the 7th
