Shift Renteria to LF. Then sign Orlando Hudson (A range) to play 2B. Everett + Hudson = wicked infield defense.
Then sign Crawford and move him to CF, pushing Upton to 1B. (Crawford is better defensively than Upton, unless you edited him, plus he's cheaper and younger than Ibanez)
Or, if you wanted, you could put Renteria at 1B, or CF, or whatever... Everett, Hudson, and Crawford should be your main batter signings, and they will cost you less than $6 million total
That will fill all of your holes, and you'll have phenomenal defense.
Then offer basement deals (1000 or less) to all of the pitchers, maybe you'll get lucky :)

You should make a try for Nathan though, he's a great value for 4500.

I'm sorry but.... What the hell?!?! Do you know what kind of salary I would have?!?!

Renteria HAS AMAZING FIELDING, HE'S BEEN PRACTICING IT ALMOST ALL YEAR AND HAS ALL A'S AND B'S (B in E Res, which is fine beacause he only had like 5 errors)

1) Renteria is NOT going to move to left, not after the year he had at shortstop.
2) I am thinking about signing Orlando to play 2nd, him and Renteria would be WICKED
3) Crawford might not be bad, but I'm not going to move Upton to first and leave Ishikawa out in the dust. He had a decent year batting 8th. Although this is an idea I would keep in mind.
4) Why offer 1K deals to ALL the pitchers... I would probably get a good 4+ of them and I don't need them.
5) Nathan is a good deal I'll say, but he is a closer and Brian Wilson had the most saves this year at 40, and had an ERA below 1.10. Brian Wilson is the closer, and no Nathan couldn't be a set-up man beacause I already have Bob Howry who finished with a 2.31 ERA and 61K. If I need Jeremy Affeldt is also availible. If I get any pitcher, it would be Mark Hendrickson.

That's speculative what you have, some of them are good ideas, but most of that will probably not happen...

hmm... sorry, I didn't know about Renteria's fielding (I was assuming Opening Day ratings)

1) If you are going to sign a left fielder, Crawford is a better signing than Ibanez. He's faster, better defensively, cheaper, and almost 10 years younger than Ibanez.
2) I would sign Hudson anytime.
3) You could sign Everett, put him at 3B, and move Sandoval to LF... (as you can see I'm a big fan of moving players around, because in Power Pros you can move anybody anywhere with no consequences)
4) As for the pitchers, I meant 1000 deals to all the pitchers that you might possibly want to acquire. If no other teams are negotiating with them, they might sign, and if you could sign Nathan to a 1K deal he'd be the best set-up man/middle reliever in the majors.

considering all these steps, if you sign Crawford, Everett and Hudson your salary would only go up 6K. Add in maybe a pitcher or two and it might go up to 7 or 8K. And if you don't sign Crawford, put Sandoval in LF, then your salary might go up 3-5K at the most. You should sign Everett at the least, he'll be an excellent late-inning defensive replacement especially if you can convert him to a few infield positions in Spring Training. Hudson for 2300 is a bargain too.

At least that's how I would run my Giants team. :)

Haha, well you are very right I guess. I'm still mulling over signing a LF, though I'm leaning towards not. I am leaning towards getting the O Dog and Everett. You're right though. Make Everett say a 3B and 2B he would have three positions he could play, giving him more value, and he would be a GREAT defensive replacement.

If you sign Hudson you won't need Everett replacing him :) but you could make Everett a catcher, he has an A arm too!
P.S. - I still like converting Sandoval to LF.

I'm afraid to see what Longball's season mode team looks like after 3 years..
Didn't you convert Crawford to shortstop, I could see a problem there

Buster Olney has reported that the Giants have agreed to terms with Orlando Hudson.

Hudson is the one on the left (?) hanging with Juan Pierre.

It does now.

Buster Olney is also now reporting that Vladimir Guerrero and Glendon Rusch have verbal agreements of signing with the Diamondbacks.
