Cooper is 0-1 but got on because of fielder's choice, Billy Wagner is pitching to Damon, Drew and Navarro(Who will be pinch hit for Martinez)

Martinez pinch hit hero

Martinez managed to send the AL home with another vicotry with a walk-off shot in the 9th. He was pinch hitting for Dioner Navarro and got an inside fastball and hit it just barely over the center field wall for a 2-1 victory over Wagner and the National League. As for Phoenix, Clemente did not play and Cooper was 0-1 and got on base once..

Deserts in full control, also show new logo

The Deserts are in full control of a weak central division and will try to win the division. They have also decided to use a new logo for unknown reasons

What to watch for this month

Look for the Deserts to try to seperate themselves in the AL Central this month as they play the Tigers, Twins and White Sox next. This'll be huge because they won't see any AL central action until September when they play the Tigers, Twins and Royals. Also look for that trade, they are looking for some leadership for a team that lacks it and it looks like there won't be a major aquisition but there will be one, maybe.

Report: Nomar to Phoenix

Reports from MLB network report that Nomar Garciapara(C,C,E,B,C,C) was traded to the Phoenix Deserts for 1B Joel Hayes and LF/RF Alex Solano along with 12000 points. Nomar is finnaly healthy this year and has put up reasonable stats(9 HR, 55 RBI, .287 AVG). Phoenix was looking for a veteran presence and Garciappara will provide. The two-time batting champion will join the team today on July 26 and will play 1st base. The Deserts have also called up RF Tolls(C,E,B,D,D) to replace Solano on the roster.

An Average month for the Deserts, they only went 13-12

They still have a comfy 7 game lead

The suprising thing is that they only scored 99 runs, thats the lowest total and yet they only allowed 101 which is also the lowest. Hopefully Nomar can help that, he already has 3 homeruns for me and thats only in 4 games

Not So Fast! Deserts slump is White Sox gain

Everything was going so well, they had a 7 game lead over the Tigers going into August and they still do have a 7 game lead over the Tigers, but not the White Sox. The White Sox had a 17-9 month while the Deserts only had a disasterous 10-16 month. The big problem for the Desert was the AL east who put the Desert's into a 5 game losing streak and they were only 3-12 vs the AL east this month. In all, there is now only [color=#000000]a 1 game lead over the White Sox. The wild card is out of reach as they are 6 games behind the Red Sox, Angels and Athletics for the wild card lead. Nomar is also out for the next 5 days with more injuries but Davis is set to return tommorow. But back to the dark side, the first 7 games are against the Yankees and Rays away from home and they have no more games against the ChiSox[/color]

We better because now we're tied with the chisox with only 4 games left!
We have 2 more vs the last place royals and 2 against cleveland. The white sox have 2 against the tigers and then they have 2 vs the mlb worst royals

I'll make sure to go slower with the updates and BELIEVE is back

Down by 5 in the 9th, we rallied for 5 to tie it(bad bullpen) Soria wasn't available

And then Chavez got a 10th inning triple and I won on......a squeeze bunt by thurston

And the White Sox lost too!

Record: 85-75

Me and the chisox were 6-6 against eachother so there's a game 163 if there's a tie(I think)
