Well, the KN is always good for me because it keeps hitters guessing until your opponent figures out how to hit it, which usually takes a decent amount of time. As the closer, you get less time against hitters, so they can't figure out your pitches until it's too late. Also, your guide cares about quality of pitches rather than quantity. If you get 11 level 1 pitches, the hitter will basically be able to guess where the pitch is going to be by where the cursor is. If you get a couple really good pitches than the hitter is guessing which way it will be, and he has a very short time to a) find out where the pitch will go, b) what the pitch will be and c) account for the direction of the pitch's break, and hopefully get good contact of the ball and hit it well. That should not let them score enough runs to come back if your offense is Islanders-esque. :)

RSM, this guide is very good. I'll add on what you should do with this closer in my opinion. First, throw the first guy a few knucklers. Once the hitter realizes the strength of the KN, alternate it with other pitches. The hitter will be guessing for the KN every time. This works for me often.

Get a sidearm throw similar to Maurice Shanklin's+L7 KN, and the pitch will be salsa dancing over the plate.

Throw fastballs and sliders, stuff like that, then a knuckler. IUt screws up their timing surprisingly well, nomatter the level of break the KN has.

Hi,

I just got a Genius but, as it's only the second player I create, I want him to be a good SP. Is there a guide for SP, or can I apply your guide to a RHSP ?
My first created player was a closer nearly role-play made so he has bad stats...

As he is a genius he already has Good Sens, Sittch training 2 can give me something else ?

As he has 2 basic curves, do i have to change them to KN or slow curve or basic pitches can be good ?

Which abilities are the best for a SP ?

"11.) You want to the same thing at the end of the game."
Is there a way to save just right before the end of the Success mode to use gambler tickets ?

As for the last answer, I'm afraid not.
