Well, he got lucky w/ Madagascar. Here's what you do:
1) sell your first symptom.
2) buy all the resistances EXCEPT DRUG and all the ways for your disease to spread.
3) Hope you get lucky and get Madagascar. If their shipyard is closed, quit; you don't have a chance.
4) As soon as every country has it, buy as many symptoms as you can.

NOTE: For the vaccine, just wait until it is being deployed. Then, buy as many drug resistances as you can. Most of the time, your disease will "mutate from the vaccine and be immune to all future vaccines".

That's how you win! :D
