I think three total. I only hit homers on mistake pitches down the middle.

I do, and I pwn in batting practice, but in batting practice, they generally throw pitches near the strike zone. In actual games, they throw pesky curveballs that drop WAY down at the last second and I can't hit em.

I just played a pretty good game. I lost, but I actually scored runs! Going into the bottom of the fifth (last inning), I was down 3-0. I decided to just take pitches and see what this guy's doing. I kept taking pitches, and I figured out his strategy! I ended up tying the game that inning, going into extras and lost when he walked off in the top of the sixth... :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

Here's a big tip. While your still figuring things out, it's better to take a strike then to swing and miss at a ball. Nothing feels worse, and the opponent will take advantage of your weakness. Also, if you swing at balls below the strike zone, they will be ground outs 90% of the time (practically 100 unless he's tired or you get lucky with timing). That creates easy double plays. Here's another tip. Until you get better and get in a league with guys who know the strike zone and throw less balls, always take the first pitch of the game and inning. At your level, 80% of the time it's a ball. That will tell you a lot about the player. Also, look at the MPH of a pitch. If it's a fastball, you know how fast he throws. If it's a breaking ball, you can tell if he throws breaking balls as slow as possible or as fast as he can. Finally, until you get it down automatically, consciously change your timing. If your swinging early, then hit a little later. If you swing late, then the opposite. Of course you won't figure it out on the next swing, but it often takes only 2 at bats, and in a 7+ inning game, it's well worth the time. Hell, it's a three inning game and it's in the second inning or earliar, do it too. Especially if it's tied and it will probably end up in extra innings.

By the way, what's your team name ChiCubsFan4? And do you want to play Berkman?

Lance, if you give it a try and think it's half decent, let me know. It's basically like a simplified Power Pros with more emphesis on reflex and changing speeds, but online.

Hurry please haha, I want to get this started. It's a lot more involved then that other game. Check out the site, especially the player guides, to get an idea of it. Look at the pictures player gave too. That's always the best way to figure out if a game is any good before playing it.

Looking at the pics is a horrible way to determine a game's quality. Power Pros for instance. :)

No its not. It's not just the graphics quality, it's the content in the game. You can see the different interfaces and how things in the game work. It lets you see the different modes.

It looks like a deeper version of Backyard Baseball 2009. Decent graphics, decent controls, and overall power pros wins.
