You know what I hate?
That despite his suspension, the only baseball team America (or at least SportsCenter) cares about is STILL the Dodgers!
If the Giants make the playoffs over the Dodgers, I will be laughing my head off when they're talking about where the Dodgers went wrong.

Here's where they went wrong:
They overspent on an injury-prone, aging slugger who's almost the T.O. of the MLB.
Meanwhile, Adam Dunn, who's just as good (or bad) at fielding, is way cheaper and younger, and is more consistent went to the Nats (poor guy) for $12 mil a year.

actually it was a 2-year, $20 m deal, so it's $10 m a year.

exactly my point.
I'm fine if el Gigantes don't make the playoffs this year. Next year (hopefully), Madison Bumgarner and Tim Alderson (both P) will be ready, and maybe Angel Villalona (1B) or Buster Posey (C).
The Giants have a much better farm system than the Dodgers (just ask Baseball America), and they have, as of December, 4 of the top 50 prospects in the majors.

If the Giants seriously want to go on some kind of run while the dodgers are weakened they definatly need a slugger since Fred Lewis has shown barely any power and Bengie Molina in not gonna keep up his pace as the season goes on

If Pablo Sandoval can get hot, there's the answer.
But who to trade for?

Maybe a corner outfielder but they probably got that covered...
Maybe a 2B but if how is their 1st baseman doing? if he's not doing bad then maybe they could make a trade

I'd say the Giants should try for a 2B but why trade Sandoval?

They wouldn't trade Sandoval and Sandoval is a third baseman, not a 1st baseman if thats what you were thinking. Their firstbase man now is Iskikawa I think, but its pretty hard to find a good offensive second baseman without giving up anything big, I think the best they could hope to get is Mark DeRosa

Sign of the Apocalypse: Papelbon and Lidge both blew saves against the most hated temas in baseball (Mets and Yankees)

for the red sox? I'm not trading Delcarman for a guy whos injury prone and is finally playing without being hurt, but he sure would be better than Ortiz..
