The original Baseball for Nintendo. The Official title was just "Baseball". 6 teams.

Worst. Game. Ever.

I remember Base Wars...Awesome Game.

That was my first memory of a baseball game. That and Bo Jackson's Baseball where he would break the bat over his knee when he struck out. LOL

Brilliant! Even at in kindergarten, my simple mind knew this game was trash. Do you remember the teams? I think the teams were just letters. I mean not even NY, LA, CHI, etc. It was simply Y or C or A. I might be remembering wrong, though.

And Base Wars was phenomenal at times, unless your opponent had a laser gun. Then you were never getting on base.

RBI Baseball, the orginal, still holds the mantle as greatest baseball game ever. The soundtrack and sound effects will stay with me until I die.

"... a little roller up along first....Behind the bag! It gets through Buckner! Here comes Knight and the Mets win it!"

Ah, good times.

EDIT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8G_trnJJYuI. Sorry, wrong game :D

I'm pretty much a rookie to this MLB game business.
The FIRST game was "Baseball" for the NES (I got one of those 99 games in one packs) and the second was...geh, I forgot the name, but it was for the turbografx (again, 99 games in 1)
MLBPP is my 3rd baseball game and my first LICENSED MLB game.

Yeah, that video is hilarious. I grew up a Cardinals and Red Sox fan (born in the Boston area). Talk about gut wrenching when the Bill Buckner play happened. I turned 15 the day after the series ended. What most Sox fans don't seem to want to acknowledge though is that play didn't cost them the series in and of itself. Boston also had a 3-0 lead in game 7 that they coughed up.

Haha, Strat-O-Matic. Most stat focused baseball game there is (Computer). It involves only managing but you don't directly handle hitting or pitching besides pinch around, walking, bunting, stealing, holding a player on a base, and things like that. Also lets you choose to try to stretch a single into a double, a double into a triple, and so on with giving you the percentage of getting out or on base. It allows you to make similar choices in fielding. It may seem basic, but its very complicated. Yes, very nerdy, I admit it, but still a good game.
Power Pros is only my second Baseball game. I too am a "Rookie" in Baseball games.

Hardball was another good game. That and MicroLeague were great games. My third old favorite is Intellivision baseball.

Bases Loaded for Nes.

I still miss cracking homeruns with Debro from Hawaii.

Do you remember who the players were that would go 'roid rage on the pitcher if they got beaned? That was always a good strategy for winning games.

My first was "Baseball" for the NES, but my favorite old baseball game was "RBI Baseball". My friends and I used to sit around and play tournaments. I remember one time playing to a 1-1 tie in the bottom of like the 12th inning for the championship and the cat hit the extension cord and reset the game. What a disappointment!!!!!!

I forgot about that part. Another good memory of that game. Too bad bases loaded 2,3 and however many sequals there were stunk. imo
