Jason Smith: Great Pick.
James Laurinaitis: Bad Pick.

We really should have picked Rey Malauga, better player by a lot.
Laurinaitis was surrounded by a great D that gave him way more value than he should've had...

Both of them are way overrated
Both of them had a great D
Laurinaitis is basically the finished product right now and you want a lot more than he can give right now.
and Rey(I won't even attempt his last name) is a 2 down backer with character issues...
Also Rey only has a good burst to the ball when he has a given target and you can't expect a rookie pro LB to have a clear target every play and without that burst he is too slow to recognize and stop the play.

Did ANYONE even mention Wake Forest's Aarron Curry (LB, 4th overall, Seahawks) or Alfonso Smith (CB, 37th overall, Broncos)? Both are really good players and Tood McShay called Curry the "surist pick in the draft" Well no one must care about Wake

but maualuga led the team in tackles!
that's pretty hard to do with such a great D, especially with 4 great linebackers!
And what type of character issues is maualuga supposed to have?

by the way, best pick in the draft so far is the redskins picking brian orakpo.
fantastic player, can't believe he fell all the way down to them @ 13.
