Cownip- those were some good suggestions--I'll have to try that!

Whenever I play the Sharks in the last game, I always have a few strategies I use to win.

1) I almost always intentionally walk Sittch because he's such a dangerous hitter. Unfortunately, he's pretty fast on the base paths too, but if you check the runner by throwing to first every pitch or every other pitch, you can usually keep him from stealing 2nd. The downside is that it wears down your pitcher faster, but in this case I think it's worth it.

2) Since almost everyone on your team is a horrible hitter, except for Terry, I usually swing for power anyway. I've found that if you hit the ball accurately using a guy with low power stats, you can either bloop singles in to the shallow outfield or occasionally hit a double. I sometimes find that just swinging on normal tends to result in a lot of ground balls which, often times, lead to rally ending double plays. Keeping the ball in the air at least cuts down the risk at getting doubled-up.

3) Play solid defensive baseball. Sometimes you'll have games against the Sharks that you can't seem to get anything going and Sittch is on his game. If you can keep the other team from scoring, you'll have a much higher chance of winning once he leaves the game around the 7th or 8th inning. The Sharks bullpen is relatively easy to get hits off of.

4) If all else fails, buy the psychic goggles before the last game. It's not always accurate, but it's pretty good at telling you what the next pitch is. This will really help if you cannot find any other way to get past The Sharks.

I forgot about the Psycic goggles, I didn't even know they were in 08. That's a great idea. Use them to sit on a fastball. Keep pausing untill it is (the pitch changes then, or it did in 07). I never walk Sttitch personally, but it's a good idea untill you're more confident. It stops me from getting perfect games (I had 1 with my best pitcher, Satan, over and over again. I kept on reloading and trying to get enough ks to get Strike Out Pitcher, but couldn't. I got about 7 perfect games in a row, but he was just that good. In the actual game, I can never get a perfect game :( ).

Try to run is pitch count up as well. I got him out of the game in the 5th once. When he gets taken out as a pitcher then you get the added bonus of not having to face his bat.

Goggles are helpful as a hitter too.

I once hit a triple with one of these guys.

I have them hit normal and get bloop singles all day. I have several 6 runs rallies to show for it. :)

I remember on the last time I played through, my pitcher had only allowed 1 hit, and it was unfortunately the hit that lost the game in the 8th inning.. It was a double no hitter until around the 5th or 6th inning when I think Marvin got the first hit. I would post the player, but my cam isn't working. The final score was 1-0 Galaxy Sharks and the finals hits were GS: 1 and GA: 6 with no errors for GS but 3 for GA (Thanks Joey!).

I WAS SO CLOSE! -_-
