There must be some equivalent.

But I noticed something else, for the original batting stances on the PS2, there are 2 of them (Original 1 and 2). Maybe, I missed one, but there's only Original 1 for the Wii - the one with a leg that goes up almost like Alvin's pitching form.

Like I said earlier, Original 2 (Mars) also got unlocked using the easter egg.

Original 1 and Original 2 are unique stances that appeared in MLB PP's predecessor only released in Japan. O1 belonged to a power hitting catcher named Banganoff, O2 to a baseball whiz (kind of a cross between Patrick and Zero) named Victor who played CF on the final boss team. I guess they recycled O2 as mars stance but didn't find a place for O1.

When I get the Random Event that triggers a stance change - that's what it always changes to. I already have it bought from the shop anyway - so I don't know why they choose that one.

I think it could be a coding error...Maybe Original 1 was supposed to be hidden and only obtainable through that RE. To support this, even though I'd already purchased Original 1 and it was "sold out", its status got reset to the pre-purchased state after I entered the easter egg command. I think that means it is (was supposed to be) part of the hidden stances unlockable through the secret command.

@Wii Users

Can someone try

D,D,U,R,L,L,D,R,U,U,R,L

The source is unreliable but it might be worth a shot. I googled the PS2 code and found that one posted as a pair on a Japanese BBS with no explanation.

I've already tried this on PS2 and nothing happened, so I figure it's either a fake or the equivalent code for the Wii.

I'll try it this evening after work if no one else gets to it first.

Hey - why isn't the Peter batting stance event in the Wiki? I should add it.

I just tried the Marvin card when I got it last night - both Peter and I adjusted Marvin's stance for hours, until eventually he got a new stance. I got some cool stuff too - Mentality points, and Clutch ability went up. I may have gotten the stance myself, too....can't tell yet.

Just to be sure, it's not a "password" you enter from the player password screen. You enter it on the cursor (U=Up D=Down R=Right L=Left) at the main menu.

Is it at the picture of Dice-K, or the screen after that?

Analog or D-Pad?

The screen after DiceK.

I'm not sure how the Wii controllers work so you could try both. The d-pad worked for me on the PS2.

Not sure if anyone is going to add this to the wiki or not, but I finally changed my stance to what I'm guessing is Patrick's, since it doesn't look anything like Alvin's.

For me it's always been like this.

Challenge - You're pumped to change stances

Failure
Vitality decreases
Motivation decreases
Strength decreases(I believe)
Technique decreases(I believe)

Success(Has anyone succeeded at changing stances with a challenge? I've failed 4 times using challenge)

Yes - You agree to change stances

Success
Stance is altered
Vitality decreases

Can anyone confirm that?

Patrick's stance should be instantly recognizable, it's one-handed and he swings like a forehand shot in tennis. See the pic I posted earlier in this thread.

I can only confirm the part of Challenge failing often ;)

Hmm, by the looks of it I'm guessing I acquired Mars' hitting stance, but it definitely looks different from behind. Maybe I'll take a picture of it after my exam tonight.

PS: Who's Mars?

The main talker for the Soldier University Commanders (third base and #3 hitter).

I finally had my stance change today to a non-origional1 stance. It isn't any particular character's. I can look, but I think it's just a random closed stance.
