anyways, how does the rising upgrade actually help any pitch?
it's not like we can make a forkball break upward...
what does it actually do, just decrease the vertical break?
if so, then i should have upgraded wrong's slider differently (and hernandez's, and clarke's...).
unfortunately, when i tried a slider with an edge (for andre rodriguez), i didn't notice any difference other than a little less break (It's level 5).

I wonder what would happen if we added rise to a pitch thats not a slider

Well, I think that the "Rise" feature is more for pitches with downward motion. I think the Rise just gives it more hang like I said before, but nothing else. Maybe kind of like an epheus pitch? LOL! But yes, everything else is pretty much straight forward, with the sharper cut or what not.
