Eagles win game 3 thriller!

Down 2-1 in the 9th, K-rod came on and crosby brought in the tying run with a single and with 1 out and bases loaded, fruto hit a ball to kendrick who tryed to turn the double play and didn't get fruto at first so the go-head run scored, now we're 4 games behind at the all-star break. Well we're doing well, we just took 2 of 3 from the team with the best major leauge record, the white sox, and the 2 of 3 from anaheim

Well great, i was simulating the all-star game and it didn't let me play so we lost 2-0. Garcia was 0-1 and struck out, and mcMillan pitched 1 IP and struck out 2. And it looks as if STONE(remember that guy, he was frustrating) and his 5.32 ERA got the save, all my traded players become all-stars somewhere else

This is exciting! Go Eagles! I can't believe I just said/typed that as a Steelers fan. That was awful. :(

Mailbag- July 25

This is just going to be a question answers kind of thing, just like the mlb kind, and on a certain time I'll tell you guys to ask questions and I'll answer them in a mailbag later that day.

Who in the lineup do you think needs to step up to help out the lineup?

If you ask me, Alcheves needs to step it up a little on offense, last year he sort of carried the team by batting over .300, by being 2nd in stolen bases, and he led the team in rbis. This years hes only batting .266 and has only 17 stolen bases. He has powered and up lately by hitting 10 homers but he needs to bring up his average and the lineup will be more fierce.

Why do you think Nixon didn't make it to the all-star game, I mean Stone got in and his ERA was 2 full points higher?

Nixon, who has a 3.45 ERA, probably didn't make it because of all of the other great AL pitchers, Stone was in and if he was in the AL, he would not have made it, and if Nixon was in the NL, he would've easily replaced Stone. You also have to remember that these are almost like popularity contests, and since the Eagles are new, they haven't had any player put it unless it was decided by the coaches. But its still confusing how the Smoke have not had a player support them.

Do you see any other big moves happening as the deadline is only 6 days away, which players would be on the block?

As you know, we already have gotten some of our problems getten rid of thanks to trading blocks like Stewart, Proctor, Stone, Fransisco and Coloramina, whom would not be getting much playing time, if any, if they were still here. In return we have gotten good quality players in Jacobs, Schoewenweis, Wise and Prado, Jacobs of course, has hit 12 homers in the 2 months he's been here. As for trades, don't expect a big one, maybe another starting pitcher just to fill in for Pena who right now has a 6.74 ERA and needs to be replaced, Crosby could be a minor possibilty to be traded as it would shift Garcia to left and right field would be a question with Umbria 3 or 4 years away. Griffiths is off the block with his team leading .292 average and 7 homers. They could probably trade for the Eagles deep AAA pitching which has alot of pitchers that now have B stamina, but the Eagles would probably want a veteran pitcher instead right now

Eagles acquire Caryle-July 29
The Eagles have made their last trade of the year and have traded prospect Tremie for Braves pitcher, Buddy Caryle, he has a 4.22 ERA and is 5-5 in 12 starts, he will replace Pena and Pena will go down to AAA to make room for Caryle

Also, since today was Pena's turn in the rotation, I will be starting Lunar(AAA pitcher) and will call up Caryle after his start

Dodgers swap Beimel, Guardado-July 31
In the a last minute trade, the Eagles traded LHP Guarado(and 4000 points)to the Dodgers for Joe Beimel. Beimel has a 3.90 ERA and Guardado has a 7.01. The Caryle trade was thougt to be the last they'd make but they have decided to make the trade

Eagles Cruise through July-August 1
The Eagles finished the month 18-7 and ended it on a 9 game winning streak, and in that span they have left the Angels and Mariners 1 game behind us. They got good pitching from McDaniel and had alot of different contributors like Griffiths and Fruto, as well as Prado who is going to get more playing time for his .333 AVG.

Garcia named Rookie Of Month again, likely AL Rookie of the Year-August 1
Garcia was once again names ROTM for batting .278 with 4 homers and 21 RBIS, which was actually a rather off month for him, he has been ROTM every month and is definatly rookie of the year unless a breakdown happens

Anyone have thoughts on these or other things?

Well in Carlyle's debut he went 6 IP and 2 runs and let up a lead-off homer to sizemore. I won 7-4.

And the streak was over at 12 and lost 4 in a row right after and won one against the ChiSox so now they have 4-4 August record, and are 1 behind the red-hot angels

It is August 11th and 5 days till mailbag

i'm not sure about the world series but I'm 1 behind the Angels and 2 behind the twins so if I get another hot streak then I'll probably make it to the playoffs

And 20 minutes til mailbag so get your questions to me cause I only have 1 so far... :?
