To tell the truth, I only s/l when I'm trying to get a specific ability from a book, or to try and get a gambler's ring from a surprise bag, otherwise, I don't really s/l at all. Pitiful, I know.

So yeah, when I have a chance to make another gyroballer, I'll work on everything a little more, like maybe try some sort of "Game, Practice, Free time, Patty arc" schedule. I'll figure it out when I go for it. (Since I'm a lazy guy, XD)

EDIT: And the team is the Tampa Bay Rays, if it matters. They're my favorite team, so most of the players I make end up on the Rays.

i barely S/Led either, just for that stuff you said, but when i got that GR for David Wrong, I immediately (since I was already close to gyro) changed my routine to:
practice, S/L for boost, practice, S/L for boost, Patty, repeat.

Yeah, I should've probably S/Led before I boosted abilities, so that way if the GR broke, maybe I'd get it back. Or does the GR only break if you have a certain amount of "Bad Luck, no boost" responses? I'm off to go make another player.

No, it does randomly.
it can even break after you gain an ability.
