Some of us want a create-a-player to make it shorter, and some of us want to increase the length of Success!

Add a create-a-player mode that is realtively easy (no RE, jsut get X # of pratices and spend points) this would be useful for a create-a-team, and a more in-depth storyline, for making superstars.

I kinda like making Success players that way, so that you can brag about how good/lucky you get. If we did the CAP (Create-A-Player, just so I don't have to type it as much), all the players would end up about the same. It would be easy for the faint of heart, but not for me, Eric_Davis_44, MrWelz, SF96, or any S/L freak.

Exactly. More apeal to more people=more $ :!: I woul probably make most of my players for a created team but a few key guys (catcher version of me, some of my friends as pitchers, etc.) would be through the long success mode.

Curses! Foiled by my own logic!

Yeah, that would make sense, but let's talk about it quietly so 2K doesn't get any ideas.

Okay, we can talk QUIETLY. But it would work farily well, and the players would be different enough.

They COULD, but it wouldn't require the strategy that Success does. How would you get Gyro, Intimidator, etc.?

They would cost a large number of points. You get X weeks to train or something like work, go into town, etc. But no RE, just a job and a few actions to give various boosts.

Why not just make both a create a player and success mode, CAP would only be able to make decent players, role players, but success mode would be where you could make your star!

High School sounds cool, hopefully the storyline would be a little longer and give rival schools a bit more development like they seem to do in the Japanese games. It'd also be nice if it was a little more non-linear like 2007 for the sake of replayability.

As several of you already said in exchange for the success mode being longer there should also be a "create a character" option that lets you bypass playing through the storyline all the time if you don't want to.

I agree. I don't want to have to go through the whole success mode to make a backup player. But I would want to do so on a star player.
