I didn't include unbuyable green abilities like Slugger because I originally made the list for Success mode. But I made George Washington just as he is listed last night and missed out on Intimidator and Star, so I will probably just scrap that process and edit some existing players. Still, Washington tunred out pretty freaking sweet, right down to his long, curly white hair and sleepy eyes.

Here is the composite ranking I used to get the top 25 Presidents for the 25-man roster:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Historical ... Presidents

Removed from the roster:
George W. Bush (for obvious reasons)

Added to the roster:
William McKinley (1B/3B, perhaps even the starter instead of Clinton)
William Howard Taft (300 lb walrus / backup catcher)
Martin Van Buren (backup MI)
Rutherford B. Hayes (power-hitting backup OF)
John Quincy Adams (late-inning defensive replacement backup OF)
George H. W. Bush (LHRP - He was the starting 1B and team captain at Yale, appearing in two college WS, but the team desperately needs a lefty in the pen)

He was a decent president. I think Jefferson, Lincoln, and FDR (though when you study him, its amazing how many mistakes he made early on. He still did rescue us from the great depression and reinstalled us as an economic super-power)

Sorry Cownip, but if your talking about Grover Cleveland, he ran 3 times. He was the 22nd, lost the 23rd and won the 24th.

Washington didn't run at all. People just chose him to be president, and they chose him to be president again after some odd years, everyone practically begged him to be president again, but he kept declining. When I say everyone I really only mean the men he fought with in the Revolution.

By the way, nice job Eric on the people! I'd agree about 95.9030970912340% of the time.

I would love to hear what changes you might suggest. The roster isn't etched in stone yet. I'm still earning points to buy the necessary stances and deliveries. By the way, does the Season Mode trick work this year? Where you sim a season or two to unlock Arrange Mode? And is HR derby (with crappy hitters for more points) the fastest way to earn points?

you don't have to buy arrange mode this year...i think.

also, i say that yes, the HR Derby is the fastest way to earn points. WHY CAN'T CARLOS ZAMBRANO HIT A HR? RANDY JOHNSON DID IT ON A PITCH THAT'S FASTER THAN 40 MPH!

Cleveland ran three times. Won the first, lost the relection, won again. Two terms just not back-to-back.

Harrison 9#----should be a releiver. served less then one year. did his inarugation speech in winter when it was freezing and raining. instead of a quick speech he went on for about 2hrs and caught immona, died 30 or so days later. Perfect releiver but durability would be an issue.

FYI----George Washington was NOT our 1st president. He was the first one under the Consitution and the one that you learn about in school. John Hanson was the First President of the United States (1715-1783).

Here's a bit of an aritcle that explains: he was elected President in 1781. Was John Hanson the first President of the United States? The new country was actually formed on March 1, 1781 with the adoption of The Articles of Confederation. This document was actually proposed on June 11, 1776, but not agreed upon by Congress until November 15, 1777. Maryland refused to sign this document until Virginia and New York ceded their western lands (Maryland was afraid that these states would gain too much power in the new government from such large amounts of land). Once the signing took place in 1781, a President was needed to run the country. John Hanson was chosen unanimously by Congress (which included GEORGE WASHINGTON). In fact, all the other potential candidates refused to run against him, as he was a major player in the Revolution and an extremely influential member of Congress. As the first President, Hanson had quite the shoes to fill. No one had ever been President and the role was poorly defined. His actions in office would set precedent for all future Presidents.

Now you can go up to your History teacher and prove them wrong! George WAS NOT our first president....that honor belongs to John Hanson.

FINALLY!!!! Someone knows the truth! I thought I would never find someone else that knew!!! I was never good at History, and I usually maintained a C, so every year I would do a report on him for extra credit, sometimes it brought me up to an A-!

I can check that off my to-do list.

And actually, Washington wasn't the second president either, or the third, but the 7th. The other 6 (discluding Hanson, are follow)

Elias Boudinot (1783), Thomas Mifflin (1784), Richard Henry Lee (1785), Nathan Gorman (1786), Arthur St. Clair (1787), and Cyrus Griffin (1788) - all prior to Washington taking office.

Here's some facts I know about Hanson:

Hanson, as President, ordered all foreign troops off American soil, as well as the removal of all foreign flags. This was quite a feat, considering the fact that so many European countries had a stake in the United States since the days following Columbus. Hanson established the Great Seal of the United States, which all Presidents have since been required to use on all official documents. President Hanson also established the first Treasury Department, the first Secretary of War, and the first Foreign Affairs Department. Lastly, he declared that the fourth Thursday of every November was to be Thanksgiving Day, which is still true today.

(Someof these are from a website.)

Although, it is still debated whether he was actually the first "president"

Hanson wasn't really a chief executive though and didn't really have any autonomous power. He was just the presiding officer of the Continental Congress as selected by the members. I'd say a more comparable position today would be the Speaker of the House or the President pro tempore.
