I was absolutely not referring to HIS religion. Just the fact that any religious comment should even be on here. As you said to me, don't interject.

Totally uncalled for, completely different from the religious quote

The quote could hold a lesson for different aspects of life, not just what it says, but what it can be related to.

Agreed! That was uncalled for, I'll admit that. But still, religion? Next up political views and social stances. Should welfare be cut off for those slackers who aren't able to get educated and get a decent job? Affirmative action, outdated? Abortion rights, are you Pro-Life or Pro-Choice? Please explain your answers. (And I could waste a minute finding a quote from a "comedian" about abortion. That would not make it funny!)

And BTW Cownip, I joined to view the boards, but one of the first things I come across is a religious quote. Which is exactly what should be posted in a board for a video game . with cartoon like characters. (fricken' Canadiens, Go hump a moose)

Welll mate, you have problems with what I believe is an un-offensive joke that references religion on a "family forum" but you have no problem with using the word doushbag. While swears are fine here and there, calling someone that is a little too far. Plus the go hump a moose, even if it was meant in good humor, is worse then his quote in my mind. I think we should just let this die and get back to the topic on hand. This is far off-topic and it would have made more sense to pm. His quote is not against forum guidelines so there is no problem with it, but I believe what you are doing is. So, feel free t talk about anything else or ask any questions about the game. We'll all be more then welcome to help you. But let's please leave this quote alone (if you really feel the need to respond to this, just pm me and I'll be happy to discuss it).
Edit: Oh, and by the way, we have discussed politics already haha :D . We're pretty layed back here about those types of things as long as it doesn't get too offensive.

good point cownip, we did take it a bit far, and way off topic. ppmlb, i say we just stop argueing, since it wont do any good, well all hold our own beliefs to what is right and wrong. any other problems with me, pm, and well handle it there, and ill do the same.

Exactly, lets get back on topic; we wasted seven or so posts already.
Here's a trade: Me (.344 14 HR 74 RBI) for some draft pick (5.23 ERA, weak selection of pitches, wow.)
Not exactly blockbuster but wow, my team is dumb.
I did get traded for Ian Snell the year before.

Heres one for you (I decided to s/l so this trade didn't go through).
I was 17-0 in my 4th season with the White Sox, and heres the trade.
(I am only 17-0 for an experiment that I am working on)
Red Sox get
-Me
White Sox get
-Julio Lugo

And the sadder thing was we had Jose Reyes for an SS.

That is a nice trade, for the Red Sox atleast.... They better fix these trades up. Struggling teams make trades for prospects. While better teams trade blockbusters.

Listen this:

Rays get:
Billy Wagner

Mets get:
Scott Kazmir

What's wrong:
Rays are trading their the bread and butter getting someone that is old. It's just stupid.

On the phills, we had acquired JJ Putz, and he was leading the league in saves by about Mid-july around the break (can't remeber when) and we traded him for OMAR VIZQUEL :!: you have the MVP from 3 years ago (his stats) and you trade away your star closer for a back-up shortstop. OMG!
