It definitely must have been way before the trading deadline because Rich Harden isn't on the cubs in this update, and the three players(well it was 4 but one was a single A catcher) that were traded for him were(Murton, Patterson, Gallagher). That trade was completed 23 days before the trading deadline.

I noticed that too. Additionally some guys have mid-season stats. For example Josh Hamilton has A power.

I thought of posting updated stats and players, but it's too much trouble.

My only disappointment is that Jeff Samardzija isn't on that list, but I don't remember when he was called up. Before or after the Harden trade?

No, he was called up after the Harden trade. It was the July 25th when he was called up.
