Well, When i got into this situation i almost got killed, kid pulled a knife on me.

If anyone wants to know how i dealt with this, just post it and i will tell. Best idea would be to tell a teacher, or just kind of " be sick " that day and tell your parents.

The letter is very clevor but could still get you in trouble. Tell him, "Hey, I'm sorry man, but I don't want to fight you." I mean what's the point, what he is going to get out of it. Just talk logically and straight to him and tel him I don't care if you think I'm chicken, I'm not showing up. I just don't need to settle my problems by fighting them out, it's stupid. I don't need to use my fist to try to prove I'm better then you. Just tell people that if they ask you why you didn't go. And hey, in the long run, you'll be better off.

i hate 2 kinds of people when they fight

1.They bring friends and make it 10-1
2.They bring a weapon

Nearly killed man, dude that sucks. Im guessing you somehow dodged all his stabs or something, otherwise yould be dead or have gone to the hospital, or did you have a knife of your own?

Nope, I kicked the kid where it mattered, punched him in the face,( by tis time he was on the ground! ) grabbed his writst, and grabbed the knife, threw it away ( i wanted a fair fight ) Wrestled with him for a while, got him pinned then A friend ran up to me, asked if i was ok and i said " shut the H***up get the **** teacher man! " and he did, the kid didn't get expelled though, and we had another incedent tlike this, THEN he graffitied our school and got kicked out. He was an F-ed up kid! Yeah, that was one of the many times ive nearly died, i will tell the others, some are related to school!

Haha sorry mate, but I have some suspicions about the 100% validity of your numerous narrow escapes from deaths.

Mr. T is a good backup.
"Fighting is for fools, fool!"

But I've never been in taht situation, though I did try to level a kid in 6th grade because he was shoving people around during basketball. Kids still talk about it occasionally these days. Almost 2 years ago...
Good times...
Goooood times... 8)

It's really hard to give out advice to situations like this. I never stood up for myself when I was a kid, but I wish I had. Problem is, kids today are freaking crazy, and if you happen to best them, they might come back and try to one-up you with a gun or a knife or... who the hell knows what. But talking to a teacher or official rarely helps, either, and if they do, the stupid moron kids never learn anything from it.

It's a really stupid situation. I say be around friends all day, friends who'll back you up. Eventually the big doofus will probably forget about it.

I don't want to condone fighting but.....

If you show no fear, you will gain respect.

Win or lose. Wounds will heal.

Of course, I had a black belt by the time I was 14. :D (not bragging)

Wow. Good job StevenJackson!

I kind of wish I kept doing it though. (I have a problem with getting really good at something and then quitting because I get bored with it) Lately I've had the notion to get back into it again.

What do you have a black belt in?
