Can I get some feedback?

1. I got the Gambler's Ring with Annie on 2nd Yr. Christmas.
2. I practiced all through 2nd Yr.
3. Called Becky at Christmas and Valentine's of the Third yr.
4. Dated Becky every week until I got to 8 hearts.
5. The next date, I got the autographed ball. I played a Challenge card on this date, and we got secretly married.
6. A heart appeared next to Becky to indicate she was my special person.
7. I stopped dating and finished out the year with games and practicing.
8. Made it to the majors, moved in with Becky's family to start tough training.
9. Did NOT get Intimidator ability.

Do I need 10 hearts?

I think I'm with some of the other guys in saying I want to shove the wiimote into my eye.

Don't know if you need them but I played a yes card, had 10 hearts and got intimidator.

That's pretty strange. I've always received INTIMIDATOR if I marry Becky. (I'm assuming you picked challenge when she wants to live together).

I could've sworn sometimes I got it without having 10 hearts as well, but maybe not...always just assumed that if you marry Becky, Intimidator comes with the package.

At which moment in time do you get Intimidator? .....

Immediately after playing a Yes/Challenge card?
After getting married?
After playing your last college baseball game?
After making it to the majors?

At the very end of success mode. If you're not sure you've met the criteria I would recommend playing through the rest of the season without saving to see if you get it. It doesn't take that long (asssuming you're in yr 3) and if something is wrong you'll be able to go back and fine tune it since you didn't save.

I just went through it after marrying Becky, and just like you, didn't get Intimidator. Reloaded at dated the last week before the game vs. the All-Stars, which took me from 8.67 hearts to more than 9. and then I got Intimidator. Perhaps 9 is the benchmark...

Has anyone successfully double-timed Annie and Becky so that they got Annie's surprise bags and secrets of books, as well as Intimidator?

Or would I have to ignore Annie, focus on Becky, and just hope for the Professor's homework (room-cleaning already happened and I got gambling ring in the Nov of the first year - YES!!).

Do you need presents for Becky's Valentine's day if challenge card is used and what gifts can you get?

What does the final paper by Annie do?
What does Sarah's photo do?

Yes, check my post earlier in this thread regarding the timeline for dating. I can get two dates w/ Annie (Y2 XMAS + Y3 Valentines) and still get INTIM. Date Becky Y3 Xmas, but keep Sv/Rld until right after the xmas date, you get an event that make becky like you more.

when do you get intimidator, after the superstar game?

You shouldn't need more than one SoP. I usually keep one for insurance in case I fail to get one of the following:

Safe Pitch - Get it from RE or Sarah/Amusement Park/Challenge
Lucky - Peter's Investment
Dr K - Glove
Gd Delivery - Sarah/Photo Session

Two SoP is usually overkill; one SoP you get from Annie on Year 3 V-day is enough. I tend to take her to the Amusement Park on that date to get Gyroball if I haven't already - That makes it two abilities in one turn.

So if you have enough SoP to get the rarer pitching abilities, there's no reason to go after any extra Surprise Bags in Year 3.

The Professor's HW is also very desirable especially if you plan for it - Study less at the beginning and save a turn or two for the HW later. That way you're getting a SoP with no extra turns spent studying. Compare that to a V-day or X-mas date, where you're basically sacrificing a turn better spent boosting Becky's affection level on some girl you aren't even going to pursue.

Has anyone ever gotten Becky's number without being captain? It's not even possible, is it?

Yes, but I turned it down. I was making a character to pursue Annie, but even when Alvin stayed on the team he rejected Becky and she offered me her number. I've also had Alvin leave the team with Toby as the captain and get Becky's number (I think I used the Yes card).

I wanted the SoP because of Gd Delivery. I dislike reloading for random events and didn't pursue Sarah. Peter offered me the investment plan but I turned it down because it was already May of the 3rd year. I ended up just getting the Professor's HW and got Gd Delivery. I did get Dr. K from the glove, though. Lucky and Safe Pitch weren't necessary for my Goose Gossage.

I read Odawali's list of abilities and I think Annie's Final Paper (after the problem stack) is used for Spin 4 (the page said that Spin 4 is gotten after completing Annie's arc) but I couldn't use it because I was a hitter?

Edit: never mind - the hitter ability was Push Hitter - which I got from a bat.

I'm stupid my Gossage won't be the fireballer I wanted (but 101 is good enough) - I broke my ring and accidentally saved - thank god it's already June of yr 3 - I'll just use my $1300 on a few gambling tickets.

In my most recent character - Hoyt Wilhelm - I got three consecutive Professor's HW's and, thus, three SoP books, in addition to ones from a Shady Accessories surprise bag, and two from Annie Dates. I also got Lucky from Peter, so much of SoP abilities, were just add-ons like Pokerface, and stuff.

One Annie question, why is it that sometimes my guy never gets Annie's Final Paper, despite getting 10 hearts, and finishing the final problem stack?

A couple of notes:

I got POWER HITTER from using Challenge card at the Beach with Becky. Huge surprise.

Side note: It was the only one of "Contact/Power/Spray/Push" that I hadn't had yet.

I got Head First Slide at the Free Powerin Random Event.

I was wondering if it was possible to use the Autographed Ball before Success Mode is complete. I'm worried that Becky will get upset that I used the ball and I won't have it when we move in together. Has anyone ever used it before completing success mode and still gotten Intimidator? I'd like to use it before the games in year 3.
