How many regular (non-holiday) dates does it take to get 5 hearts? 5?

I see it this way. If you're willing to reload for an hour to get the GR from a Surprise Bag, that's not that different from reloading on a random week till you get the Shady Accessories store.



I haven't counted but probably 5 or more. It was enough to set back my schedule. Best to forget about Intimidator if you go the Annie route.

The problem is, I want Intimidator for my closer. Sucks that Annie's gifts are mucho better - except the first Valentine's.

Will Becky dump me if I date Annie on Christmas and Valentine's - I want the secrets of pitching? Speaking of which, does anyone know all of the abilities (hitting, fielding, or pitching) that the secrets book can give that are not acquirable from the ability boost screen?

I know of - Lucky, Good Delivery, Safe Pitch ...

Are there certain weeks for the Shady Accessories store, or should I just pick a random week, train, and then hope it comes?

secrets of hitting- bases loaded hitter, walk off hitter, hot hitter, refined, good back to back hitter, rally hitter.
secrets of fielding- spider catch. Not sure about others.
secrets of pitching- good delivery, safe pitch, lucky, dr. k.

You should try to get shady accessories on the first week or march.

thanks, so the real prizes are the BL hitter, refined, B2B hitter, and rally hitter and gd delivery, safe pitch, lucky, and spider catch.

I think you get the others from equipment and no-so-random events, i.e. medical insurance.

So I guess, the fielding book is only preferable to hitting if you have an outfielder - but a pitcher with spider catch would be cool.

I'm confirming Spider Catch is the only ability aquired by a Secrets of Defense book that you can't purchase at the ability boost screen.

Has anyone been able to get the intimidator ability while getting the valued items from Sarah and still get good stats - I'm thinking A control C stamina, level 7 knuckle, palm, sinker and level 3 2-seam.

I've read that "annie" in the end will give you the "genius" title, but i've gotten hitched to her several times and yet, nothing. Nor do I see a Genius attribute in player searches or player editing, where you can see all abilities.

Can anyone confirm it exists and what it does, how to get it? thanks alot.

Love this game except for the horrible fielding. Hate how you can' switch over to who you want. Pressing C or Up seems random...

You don't get the genius title from Annie. A genius title means in the beginning you got a guy with good stats and good sense. There will be a bar that says genius instead of normal when you go to look at your success mode players.

Alright guys, if I ever needed your help its now. I was dating Becky and her likeability heart rating was around 5 and a half. Wasn't really paying a whole lot of attention to it but a few turns later I checked again and now its back to 0!!!! I think I know what happened but I need someone to confirm it. Basically, I met Anna at the beginning of the game and got her problems but didn't pay any attention because I planned on dating Becky for Intimidator. In year 2 I did the professor's HW RE to get a Secrets of Pitching book. When I did his HW, my guy automatically did Anna's problems too. After doing this a couple of times I ended up getting Anna's #. I'm thinking that even though I didn't cheat on Becky, by receiving Anna's # I reset the likeability of Becky. I can't think of anything else that could have done it. Does anyone have any info? I'm at Christmas of the 3rd year and I'm thinking of dating her almost every turn (23 turns left I think) the rest of the way to get Intimidator but I need any useful tips you guys might have to maximize the turns I have left to get those heerts filled up. Or is 23 turns plenty of time?

I'm pretty sure 23 weeks of dating would be enough , but your guy might not end up as good as he could be. But with your ability and seeing your hitters, he's probably the best guy out there already

Christmas and Valentine's dates probably fill up around 2 hearts.

Its gonna be a tight ship, but right now Intimidator is my only worry.

Maybe Becky's harder, but I dated Annie about 4 times (one christmas and valentine's) and got her to be my special person, before my second year games! I'd assume Annie's easier because all the math problems make her like you more.

I've maxed-out with Annie right after the second christmas - do I get anything special? Abilities, Items, ?

I don't know why the drop in affection, but I think with just 8, maybe even 7 dates, you can pull Becky...

I've found Using Challenge card @ the game or theme park gives the most likability boost, at 1 heart each time. The lowest likability boosts are Y @ Park and M @ theme park (.33 Heart boost).

So you can alternate btw challenging the game date and the theme park date (with help of shuffle whistles or Sv/Rld, of course). Also I find that on occasions saying No @ theme park and choosing the Cart or Haunted house also gives a full heart boost, somtimes only .66. Weird.
