Now that you mention it, I've NEVER had a visit from Goodjob after doing a job for jaw. I'm still skeptical about this theory though.

Nah, I got goodjob twice when I was making my pitcher Moon. I am sure I used Jaw a lot and I got him pretty early. Goodjob is just rare. I haven't gotten him the last few characters I made...

I concur with "ubo". I have met Dr. Goodjob while working for Jaw.

Have you gotten Goodjob the same week as you worked for jaw? Thats the issue Im asking about- Ive never seen Goodjob after working the Jaw job the same week. So yeah, either its just very rare, or maybe the % to see goodjob can go up or down based on what activity you do during the week?

If we get some concrete times when people are seeing goodjob it would help alot. Note the week you see him, and what you did prior to seeing him that week, so for example: week 3 nov, year 1- went to park, picked up trash/ Dr. goodjob RE.

If we get some concrete data on when he shows up and what was done before seeing him, I think it will be easier to figure out when is best to S/L to find him without wasting tons of time on low % or no % chances to find him.

When do you feel that you get Goodjob to show up the most? For me, it is between the transition from one week to the next. I don't ever remember getting him to show up during the week. If I am reloading trying to get him to show up, I run my weekly command meter down to one, then use the Progress command.

Also, I believe the likelihood of getting Goodjob goes up as the likelihood of getting another random event goes down. Generally, between the final two games against the sharks, the only arc left is the Joey arc and random Marvin visits (that is if you have finished Tom's arc and the Ghost arc). Therefore, if an R.E. is to occur, then Goodjob percentage goes up as being one of the events chosen. This was the case in '07 where Goodjob was the only possible R.E. to occur.

Yes. I also notice REs in general are VERY rare during multiple action turn weeks before the last action. So, if I have 2 actions in one week, I usually wont see any RE at all until the final week action before it turns to next week.

And yes, I agree that the less RE story arcs available the greater chance of seeing Goodjob. I rarely see him if I am in the middle of too many RE stories- usually Ill just get a RE that advances a current story arc instead if I get one at all.

You can't get Re's during the week. Only in between weeks.

Yeah I thought that was the case, but couldnt remember if I ever got an RE midweek, or if it was just really low chance, so I didnt want to say they never happen mid week just because I never saw one happen personally.

I had a drought of not getting Dr. Goodjob in about twenty characters and then I get him when everything is how I want it to be. He seems to just like to mock me, now if he would show up earlier I would love to take him up on his offer. But, I did take him up on his offer each time I saw him, I just knew I wouldn't save and failed everytime(which was probably 3-4 times).

seen him maybe 4 times, first time, signed and success, all others, signed and failure. I S/L every week, so I never had any troubles with him...

yes! got him for the first time in like 8 characters, and he finally gave me a sucessful job. what a result: Increased my stamina by 20, my breaking ball by 110, 44 strength points, 44 technique points, and my MPH by 5. Got him mad early too (like first week of april 1st year).

Its actually better getting him late (it gives you the same bonus no matter how high you topspd is, so goin from 100-105 is more valuable than 80-85), I hate getting hi when im going for a guy that i want 2 or 3 trj, cuz i usually get that early, so if i get a successful job, he boosts it to 3 or 4.

I absolutely love Dr. Goodjob, he makes my life so much easier. I got a good sense character last night adn was making one of my better pitchers for my Kofu Eagles team, and then he showed up and I was like why not it would be huge and if I fail I'll just reload since I have to save after every single week because my guy has laziness. Then I ended up passing, and it was just awesome, but he really only gives you a 3 mph boost which contradicts what the game tells you where it says he gives you a 5 mph boost.
